"If you don't mind me asking, why were you crying?" He asked after a few minutes of pure silence, it was better to address the elephant in the room after all.

"Umm...some guy bumped into me, it really hurt" she lied off the bat and the sound of Jaemin's chopsticks being placed on the table was heard and she looked up at him, seeing his 'i dont believe you' eyes. She chuckled at the sight of him.

"I'm not a good liar am I?" She asked

"The worst of them all" he replied with a small smile and she sighed before she looked straight ahead of her, small snippets of today replaying in her head.

"It was the first time in a long time...that someone made me seaweed soup" she said, chuckling at her own answer. She looked back at Jaemin only to see his eyes soften slowly.

"It's my birthday" she said with a whisper and he smiled

"Happy birthday Yeseul" he replied with the softest smile, the softest one she had ever seen, her heart automatically picked up its pace and her face was flushing with heat, she looked away immediately, being unable to keep eye contact with him.

"Thank you" she said, her voice cracking out of the blue and she widened her eyes and awkwardly coughed as she noticed a small smirk on his lips.

"Anyway uh...your friend hae..."

"Chan..Haechan" Jaemin finished for her and she nodded

"Haechan...seems really nice" she said, opening up small talk again and Jaemin raised his eyebrows in surprise, thankfully she hadn't heard what hyuck had to say about her.

"Really? You think so?" He asked, amused as he raised the glass of water to his lips

"Yeah he seems really sweet" she said, of course she had no idea what the guy was actually like, only meeting him for a good two minutes today.

"I beg to differ" Jaemin muttered under his breath

"What was that?"

"Nothing at all"

_______

"Listen you really don't have to do this" she said as she watched him put on a jacket with car keys ready in his hand

"Don't worry about it, its raining cats and dogs outside. Can't have you catching a cold" he said with a small smile

"Right..." she said with a small smile, putting on her fleece before following him out of the hotel suite.

"Would you like me to bring you somewhere Sir?" The chauffeur who was dressed incredibly well asked

"No that's okay, if you could just bring the car out to the front please" Jaemin asked, more like ordered.

"So you....actually live in a hotel" she said, amazed at the renaissance style painting all over the ceiling and walls, it truly was a classical hotel paradox to Jaemin's more modern take on furniture.

"Yeah it's pretty comfortable but I do feel a bit homesick every now and then" He answered

"Oh..where did you live before?" She asked

"My grandma's house in Jeonju but we moved her to a nursing home in Seoul, near where my grandad lives" he said with a smile and she smiled back

"Sorry, you probably don't care" he said, looking down at his shoes

"No i do" she said quickly, blushing from embarrassment as she saw him look back into her eyes

"Here are your keys sir" the chauffeur said, handing Jaemin his car keys as they walked outside the hotel entrance

"Have a good day" the man bowed to both him and Yeseul and she politely bowed back.

"This....wow...." She said lowly, breathing out as her eyes landed on the white Porsche suv in front of her

Jaemin opened the door for her and she sat inside, immediately being met with a musky scent of the car and men's perfume.

"Which supermarket is closest to the house?" Jaemin asked

"Uhh...any to be honest...you and Jeyi live quite close together" She replied and he nodded, starting the car and driving onto the road.

"So you're a ...chaebol....? She asked and he smiled an uncomfortable smile, it was quite hard to differentiate his normal smile from his awkward one but Yeseul was very good at reading people...our she just found herself becoming too fond to his actual smile. It normally reaches his eyes, the lines extending his eyes, his aegyosal popping out prominently, his vampire teeth showing.

"Uh...yes...it's tiring" he said with a sigh, thinking that she wouldn't know what his life would be like...but she did, and she decided not to question it any further, she was sure thousands of people probably questioned him about it everytime they met him.

"Do you know how to ice skate?" She asked, quickly changing the subject

"Yeah i do, I'm pretty good at it, my friend Jeno taught me" he said with a smile, reminiscing the past.

"Oh really? I never ice skated in my life" she said and he chuckled

"Then why did you ask?" He asked and she shrugged

"Just curious i guess" she said, trying to keep a straight face

"How come you never skated? Afraid of falling?" He asked, glancing at her for a short time before turning back to the road, he couldn't help but notice her incredibly glowy skin adding to her youthful appearance, barely any makeup, just natural.

"Well...when I used to live with my parents I didn't get to do much fun stuff, they were pretty much never there for me or my br-... yeah that's it" she said, stopping herself from rambling on with a fake coughing fit

"I understand, I wasn't allowed to do a lot of fun things either...and by the time i was old enough to rebel and just do it, I had to take of my grandparents" Jaemin said

"Trust me, even though I'm at the age to rebel and do whatever, growing up with barely any experiences in life really made it hard for me to get around on my own" She said with a smile

"Your parents spoiled you or something?" He asked and she nodded with a light chuckle

"Yeah, they really were good to me though..." she said, leaning her head onto the window

"If they were so good to you then why did you...never mind...it's none of my business" he said, pursing his lips into a line and she smiled

"It's kind of...similar to the cinderella story" She said and he slowly nodded, piecing it all together.

"Well i hope...one day you will find that glass slipper...and put it on yourself since you don't need some irrelevant prince to do it for you" he said remembering the word's she had said to him at the hotel the last time they had met and she chuckled at his comment

"Oh trust me, I'll find that glass slipper and trade it for some Jimmy Choos instead" she smiled and he chuckled, parking at the supermarket parking lot.
