[Ending 1] Restocked Items

Author's note: Annyeong readers! There's a bit of explaining to do before we start the story, so please bear with me. From here onwards, the timeline of events gets a little bit wonky, as each ending happens at a different time in the year, all of which will be made clear in the chapter. When Y/N left for his military service, it would have been February of 2021, so the endings will take place starting in late 2022 or in 2023 if the timeline was continuous.

Please remember, I will be writing about the future, and anything that happens is all fictional and should not be taken as fact; it's just my creative imagination running rampant.

With that out of the way, let's get to the story!

*3rd Person POV*

With the sudden news revealed to him, Y/N now had to work quickly to figure out what he was going to have to do. Essentially, he was now homeless and without 99% of his belongings, and with the evening quickly approaching, he was running out of time before he would have to resort to sleeping in his car for the night or possibly longer.

The first option he had was to literally call home and see if that was available. But of course, his phone still hadn't been reactivated yet with all of the running around he had been doing since arriving back in Seoul.

'Right, first things first is to get connected to the world again...' Y/N thought as he drove away from his former place of employment and towards the only place he knew would have everything he needed: the mall.

The entire drive over, Y/N remained rather tense, as indicated by the white knuckles he had while gripping the steering wheel. In his mind, everything was coming to the forefront, with his mental capacity becoming very quickly overwhelmed. And with not having driven a car in a couple of years, all of the little things the drivers around him were doing wrong were beginning to drive him to the edge.

Luckily for him, he quickly arrived at the parking lot of the mall and was able to find a spot without too much trouble. Even though it was a springtime Saturday afternoon and the mall wasn't necessarily quiet by any means, it was nice that some things were going his way for once.

After about half an hour of waiting at the phone store for a new SIM card for his phone, Y/N was finally able to actually use his phone. However, with him being disconnected for the past two years, for the next few minutes his phone was flooded with all of the notifications that had been piled up with nowhere to go.

Frustratingly, it took nearly 10 minutes of just standing around and waiting for the phone to cooperate, but eventually all of the notifications had caught up and the phone finally calmed down. After getting rid of all of the non-important ones for the meantime, taking a mental note to check them later, he went first to the messenger app where all of his group chats were.

'What the...' Y/N thought when the app finally opened up, revealing that the old TWICE group chat was empty, with all of the members' numbers listed as "unavailable". This made Y/N genuinely worried, and down he went through the numerous emails to try and find some form of an official answer. After a while of loading and scrolling, he found the one email he was looking for.

"Official notice: TWICE team members. Good afternoon, as of 18:00 today, TWICE's exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment has expired. Everyone assigned to TWICE as their daily roles will be reassigned in due course. Thank you for your hard work and understanding. -JYP."

'So it really is true... I hope they're all still going well...' He thought as he sadly slumped back down on the bench nearby.

With the TWICE members out of the question for the meantime, next was to try his family members. Now, Y/N still wasn't aware of what had happened to IZ*ONE yet, and assumed that Eunbi was still in the group dorm, so he tried his parents, hoping that they were home and that his old room was still available. After dialing the number and waiting, the line clicked and the call began.
