*Your POV, over 2 years after your return from the military*

"Okay, you are good to go." You said, rolling over on your stool. "But you have to promise me that you won't run around for a couple of days, okay? Your leg still isn't 100% yet."

"Okay... I'm sowwy." The child apologised quietly.

"You aren't in trouble, but you might be if you run around again, okay?"

"Okay!" They said excitedly.

"I know how energetic kids can get, but please try to limit the amount of time they spend on their feet for a couple of days as best as you can." You explained to the parent.

"Thank you so much, doctor." The mother bowed before piggy-backing their child out to the reception area. With a wave to the now much-happier child, you shut the door to your exam room to take a breather from the long morning of consecutive appointments.

After your return to civilisation, you had a decision to make regarding your career path. Your meeting after settling down went about as well as you had thought, since TWICE were not with JYP, you were given the option to either continue as a manager for a different group or to leave your position entirely.

Thankfully, you were given some time to think over your options instead of making one right then and there. And while you did think about staying, your time in the military swayed your decision. You had done the whole k-pop world job, and now you wanted to have a positive impact on more people. So the next day, you walked into JYP's office with a resignation letter in hand.

Of course, he had tried his best to persuade you to stay, but you had made your decision and he eventually agreed, but not before he threw a goodbye party at the company. Unfortunately, none of the artists could attend due to their schedules, but all of them had signed a big poster that was presented to you at the end of the night.

Now, your idea of giving back to the community was to go back to the medical world like you had initially gone to school for. And thanks to your time already spent in college as well as your field medic certification from the military, you just had to go back for some core classes for your actual practitioner's licence. But that meant getting stuck in coursework again, and you quickly lost track of what was happening in the k-pop world.

Fast forward a couple of years, you were now a fully fledged doctor, specialising in sport medicine and paediatric practice. But that left you in a position to find a hospital or clinic to work at, much like the situation you were in when you joined the TWICE team all those years ago. And similar to back then, fate had thrown a bone in your direction.

Hasegawa Ryuto, your old senpai from your undergrad days as well as your fellow medic from that one year of ISAC you attended, had opened his own community clinic in Seoul. And when he had found out about your change into the medical world proper, he reached out and offered you a spot as a practitioner at his office. Primarily, his office was just a small community clinic where people could walk in for minor injuries and check-ups, but he also specialised in "house calls" for entertainment companies when idols or actors and stunt doubles got injured during their work.

For the first few months however, you were relegated to a purely in-office role, one you really didn't mind at all. You got your own examination room, got your work experience, met new patients, and the people in the neighbourhood were more than happy to get another doctor in at the practice on those days when Ryuto couldn't be in. Since the practice as a whole was very popular, most of the time both you and Ryuto had your hands full of patients to see, much like today.

Now that you had just finished seeing that last patient, you finally got a moment to clean up the paper on the exam bench and sanitise for the next patient you would have to see in a little while. But while you were ripping the paper, you heard a knock at your door. "Doctor Y/N? Are you available?"
