I got to work before anyone else came in because Hank wanted to talk.

"So, here's your badge and you now have your own Intelligence vest." Hank said as he passed them over.

"Thank you."

"When do you want to tell the team about your arm?"

"I'll tell them next shift, one of them already knows."

"Jay?"

"Yeah." I smiled.

"I'll tell him not to say anything and your partner will be Antonio."

"Okay. Thanks."

"Your desk is that one there." He said as he pointed to a clean desk that was hidden at the back.

"Thanks for this and paying for the last of my sister's Uni funds."

"How do you know about that?"

"I asked the receptionist."

"Did you use your badge?"

"No. I just told her that she is my sister and my legal guardian."

"How old is your sister?" He asked, pulling a confused face.

"26."

"How are you her legal guardian?"

"I'm not, I lied."

"Fair enough."

I left his office and put my stuff in my locker and then took a seat at my desk.

"Haven't seen you in a while." Smiled Jay as he walked into the room.

"Wow. It has been forever." I said as I stood up to give him a hug.

He hugged me back and then pulled his phone out.

"They wouldn't give me your number so please give it to me."

"Wouldn't give me yours either." I smiled.

"I'm so sorry about shopping the other day. I didn't realise it was you plus you didn't have your mechanical arm."

"It died on me and then the next day it got trapped around my other arm."

"Oh. So this one is new."

"Yes but please don't tell the others. I don't want them knowing yet."

"I won't and I'm sorry about your mom."

"I'm sorry about yours too." I smiled.

"Do you want to meet up at Molly's tonight?"

"I would love to."

"So, how's Zoe?"

"She's great. She's working towards becoming a doctor. She's just gotta take her boards and if she passes then she will be a doctor."

"That's great. Will and her may end up working together."

"She's currently at Lakeshore but she does want to move."

"Well I can always talk to Will."

"No, she doesn't want help."

"Sounds like someone I know."

"Oh you're funny Halstead." I laughed.

"Oh yeah. Is that why you just laughed."

"That wasn't a laugh. I was clearing my throat."

"Oh ok, I believe you. We'll talk later."

Our case today was of a young woman that was murdered in her car.
