Chapter 2: Another Mutant Turtle?

The family jumped at the feral creature that just destroyed the drone with its bare hands and all they saw on the screen was static.

"What the shell was that thing?" Raphael demanded.

"Don't know but if I were to guess, I'd say it's that mysterious creature that was spotted on Canal Street last night" Donatello replied.

"That's a possibility," Leonardo agreed.

Splinter, meanwhile, was taken aback by a small detail that he saw on the screen beforehand. The bright blue eyes on that creature and the shape of the blurry image on the news as well.

"Sensei?"

The mutated rat shook out of his thoughts and looked at his sons to whom Leo asked: "What are we to do?"

Splinter recollected himself and not wanting to reveal the matter in case he's wrong, he replied with: "I sense this creature may be a threat, you three are to investigate the area and confront this thing"

"Yes master," Leo nodded.

"Alright, let's go kick some monster ass" Raphael deviously chuckled.

"Language, Raphael" Splinter scolded.

"Sorry" Raphael grumbled.

"Alright but we'll stay close and stick to the shadows" Donatello advised.

"Donnie, that's kind of my line" Leo scoffed.

Soon the three turtles geared up and headed out to the sewers while Splinter resumed his thoughts on what the creature could be.

"Seventeen years...and yet...those eyes...that shape...It can't be him...Could it?"

Deep within the sewers near their home, the trio searched cautiously for the mystery creature lurking nearby as they search about to no luck.

"According to the tracking device, we should be close by to the drone" Donnie whispered.

"Well let's hope we can deal with this thing without resorting to bloodshed" Leonardo nodded.

"Either way, just say the word and I'll beat it face down in the ground" Raphael added, ready to fight whatever comes his way.

Soon they found the destroyed drone in pieces, much to Donnie's disappointment: "Oh man! That one took me a month to build"

"Whatever that thing is, it's got to be strong, fast and possibly hostile" said Leo.

"Speaking of which, where is that sneaky monster?" Raphael grunted, looking around the sewers.

Suddenly Leo halted his brothers and closed his eyes to which Raphael sighed: "Wot is it now, fearless?"

"Hush" Leo hissed.

"What do you hear?" Donnie whispered.

Leo opened his eyes and whispered: "It's here"

The trio silently looked around before they heard growling behind them in the darkness.

"It's behind us," Donnie whispered.

"No kidding" Raphael hissed.

"On the count of three, we lunge away from it and get in position...One....two...THREE!" Leo commanded.

As soon as the trio jumps forward then turn back with their weapons out, the creature lunges forward with a feral growl. Eventually the creature crawls to the light in the sewers and what the turtles saw next made them gasp in shock beyond belief.
