"Are you ready?" Merlin asks outside your home's door.
You open the door, grab his hand and smile, "Yup." You're so happy, you're almost skipping. "So what did you tell Arthur this time?"
He laughs, "Don't worry, I actually talked to him this time. He's actually okay with it."
"Oh good," you smile.
"But to be safe, we'll eat in a different spot," he says in a serious tone.
There's an awkward pause, "So where did they take you?" You ask looking at him.
He takes a deep breath, looks up at the sky and then all of a sudden stops in his tracks.
He looks to you with saddened eyes, then looks down at the ground. You grab both of his hands, "Merlin, what is it?"
He looks back up at you with tears in his eyes, "I...I have magic." A single tear goes down his cheek, you put your hands on his cheeks and wipes the tear with your thumb.
"It's okay, you can tell me everything," you give him a light smile.
"Thank you. We'll discuss it over our picnic," he grabs one of your hands and you both continue on your way.
