Chapter 59

Arizona's POV

We're in Seattle now and Violet is almost 3 months old, Addison had barely put her down the entire time we have been here

My parents fell in love with her too, but of course Amelias mother wanted nothing to do with our baby, she knew I was pregnant and that I had the baby

She told Derek she is going to New York to spend Christmas with Liz this year, which I know Amelia is thankful for, she doesn't have to see her mother

Chris still hasn't warmed up to the idea of having a little sister but instead has been very very jealous, which is causing him to get upset over the littlest of things

We're hoping being here helps, with Addisons help with Violet we are hoping to spend some more one on one time with him

But not today, Addison  and Derek went to work and they took Henry to daycare,

I was holding Violet , letting her lay in my lap while she looked around the room with her wide curious eyes

"Mommy I want to lay with you" Chris whines

"You have to wait until mama gets out of the shower then baby love" I tell him, and he pouts even more

"Why!? Just put her down!" He shouts, making Violet jump slightly in my lap

"Hey... there is no need to shout, I will do anything you want me to do as soon as mama gets done in the shower" I tell him firmly, but keeping my voice level

"No! No! No! It's not fair! You alway stay with her" he cries and I sigh,

"I want you now" he continues, making the baby start crying as well

"Christopher I can't just put her down, it's not safe" I tell him and he kicks the couch

"Hey!" Amelia yells coming into the living room, she was still wrapped in a towel

"Why are you kicking things?" She ask Chris

"She won't hold me!" He cries and she sighs

"Take her please" I tell Amelia, I was getting very overwhelmed with everything going on

Amelia quickly takes the baby and I grab Chris' arm and take him upstairs

"We know you are having a hard time but this? Throwing tantrums and kicking things is not. Okay" I tell him

"We are trying to spend as much time with you too but, I can not just leave Violet alone," I say and he nods

I sighed and got into bed and he laid his head on my stomach

"Baby love, mama and I love you so much, and yes Violet has a lot of our time now but we're not going to love you any less, we are all adjusting having a baby in the house, acting out the way you are is just going to get you in trouble" I tell him and he hides his face in my stomach and sighs

I figured he didn't want to talk so I just laid with him quietly and ran my fingers through his hair, it was the same as Amelias,

If we're being honest he looks just like her, acts like her too

Amelia eventually came up, still in her towel but Violet had fell asleep so she gently laid her in the playpen we had bought when we got here

Amelia got dressed and laid in bed on the other side of Chris

"I'm sorry, it was just a lot" I tell Amelia, I felt bad for just leaving her downstairs

"It's okay, I could hear him crying from upstairs" she sighs and looks down at Chris who had also fallen asleep

"Maybe we shouldn't have had a baby yet" I whisper

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely am in love with our daughter, her small smiles, and always wanting to lay against my chest

But seeing Chris so distraught hurts, I don't know how to reassure him that he's not being replaced, and that we're still here

"What?" Amelia ask and sits up

"I mean.... Chris is just so upset about it, and I do not regret it at all, I love her, and i am glad we did it but.... I just wish it wouldn't have taken such a toll on him" I tell her and she sighs

"Arizona, you have always always put Chris first, and I love that you care so much and do, but, he will be okay, he would have gotten jealous even if we did wait, he always does with Henry." She reminds me and I nod

"I don't know how to make it better" I sigh and she puts her hand over mine that was still on Chris's back

"We'll figure it out, together." She says and I nod

Fortunately we were able to get about an hour nap in until Violet woke up crying, also waking the three of us up

"Make her stop" Chris whines and covers his head

I quickly grabbed Violet and fed her, since taking some supplements my milk supply has definitely increased which I am thankful for, sometimes I still have to pump after Violet eats

Once she was done and changed, Chris was already wide awake

"Come here baby love" I tell him and he moves over to me and I move Violet in my arms so she was a little but in his arms too

"Mommy! I don't want too!" He exclaims

"Hey.... Look" I say calmly and he looks to me

"She likes you, look, she's smiling and watching everything you do" I say and he furrows his brows but looks down at the baby and she smiles

"You're her older brother, she's going to look up to you, and love you. You are so important to her already" I say and he smiles softly, Violet started to coo and make noises and he looked at me

"She's trying to talk to you" I chuckle and he smile

"Really?" He ask and I nod

"She's not going to replace you Bubbas" Amelia says and looks up to her

"I mean..... I guess she is cute.... But not as cute as me!" Chris says and we laugh

"You both are very cute" Amelia smiles

Odd enough it seems like Chris has warmed up a little since earlier today

He still doesn't want to hold Violet but he doesn't avoid her, if Amelia is holding her he will sit next to her

Addison has been with her since she got home, it's amazing seeing them interact and with her doing that Amelia and I have played a few board games with Chris

It was needed though, Chris definitely enjoyed it

After dinner I fed Violet and we laid her down, she will be up in a few hours to eat again

The remaining of us sat and watched a movie

"I need you to convince your brother to have another baby," Addison tells Amelia

"Has he said no?" Amelia ask

"Well..... no" Addison says causing Amelia to laugh

"Then just tell him, I'm sure he will want another one," Amelia says and Addison sighs

"Fine, but if he says no I'm stealing yours" she says

"You will have to get past arizona with that one, she barely lets Violet out of her sight" Amelia says

"Leave me alone"'I say And she smiles

She was right though, I don't like when Violet is out of my sight for too long,

"She's my baby, what can you expect?"
