Flora's P.O.V
I awoke with a harsh pounding in my head that caused me to groan out in pain. Why do I normally wake up in some type of pain? The pounding was at the back of my head and thumped as if it were making a beat. I went to pull my arms up to touch my head when they were forced back down by something very noisy and rattling. Please don't tell me they are what I think they are. I look down at my wrists and saw heavy duty chains attached to my wrists. By the way they burned I could tell they had silver in them. I tried to move my ankles and noticed they were in the same bindings. I let out another groan of pain, this time coming more from the burning in my ankles. The chains around my ankles obviously had a lot more silver in them. Whoever this person is, they didn't want me to be able to walk or run.
I was glad that I still had some of my old self in me in situations like this, or I wouldn't have thought to pick the lock on the chains. I've had the old fighter/combat side of me inside the whole time. The thing was, it was like she was bring chained down herself. It was like she couldn't break free of the restraints that held her back. 'Focus' my wolf spoke to me, her voice scratchy. "we can't take much more of the silver before we black out again." I understood and quickly went to lean my head towards my hands to grab the bobby pins that were placed at the back of my head. I cursed the person who tied the chains around my wrists so low to the ground. They probably knew I would still try to escape. I pushed my body as far as it could go, without touching the silvery chains bound to my wrists. "I can't reach any further without touching the silver." I spoke to my wolf. "You are going to have to. Grab the pins as quickly as you can so we can stay awake longer and not black out." Why the hell does silver to the head always make werewolves black out so easily? Why moon goddess?
I took a deep breath in and let my head fall. Both of my cheeks came into contact with the silver chains and I wanted to cry it hurt so bad. My hands pat my hair all around looking for the bobby pins. Only problem...I couldn't find them. I quickly ran my fingers through my hair once more in the exact places they should have been. They weren't there. I lifted my face of the chains and bit my lips hard as the skin peeled itself away, an awful burning lingering. "Dang it" I whispered out, feeling slightly dizzy. "You're a fighter aren't you" a female voice spoke before laughing a little. "What? Who's there?" I quickly questioned the darkness that surrounded me. Oh did I forget to say that it's pitch black down here! I can only see down to my feet. Well actually I can't see my toes...
Suddenly the light flickered on and I cried out, closing my eyes quickly. I felt like a vampire with my arms up trying to shield my body from the light and my eyes squeezed shut. "Sorry darling" the woman said. Was she being sarcastic or was she actually sorry. I slowly started to open my eyes. I woman with dark auburn hair and olive tan skin appeared in my line of sight. She had hazel eyes and ruby red lips. "Hello darling my name is Adele. I know your Flora." She spoke cheerfully. What. The. Hell. Why is this lady so happy when I'm sitting chained to a wall in front of her. Is she crazy. Yep she is definitely crazy.
"Why am I here" I asked, my head was now very dizzy and I was fighting to keep my eye sight un-blurred. These chains are really affecting me. "Oh let me take those off of you." I sighed in relief when she took the chains off my wrists and ankles. She went back over to her chair and sat down. "Okay dear I will cut right to the point. I am your fathers mate. The one he rejected to be with your mother." I tried to stand up, but fell. "Don't worry dear, I'm not your real fathers mate, you know the one you loved. I am your biological dads mate. Which makes you my daughter in a way." I raised an eyebrow and began to rub my wrists, which were almost as red as the lipstick she was wearing.
