Fragile, Innocent, and Scared

Chapter 15

Draymen's P.O.V

            My sweet sweet baby girl was finally in my hold. It feels amazing to be a father! I held onto her tightly in my arms, not wanting anyone to get any ideas about touching my baby. I walked into my office and lay her sleeping figure on the chaise by my desk. Fixing her hair I walked around my big office desk and plopped down into the comfy leather chair. "Liam come to my office right away, I have a surprise for you." I mind linked my beta. He was next in line to the alpha position, next to Flora of course. "Yes alpha" he mind linked me back and I waited in for a good minute or so before he came into my office. "Alpha you wanted to see me?" He asked as he walked right past Flora, not even seeing her. The room went silent after he spoke, until a soft whimper left Flora's mouth.

            I smirked as Liam looked shocked and quickly turned around. His eyes widened and he rushed over to Flora's side and kneeled on the ground. "Is this her?" Draymen stood from his seat and walked over before brushing his fingers through Flora's hair in a loving manner. "Yes son she is." Draymen said and smiled at his 'son.' Liam wasn't really his biological kid like Flora was. He just referred to him as his own. Liam's eyes sparkled with glee and adoration. "She's beautiful" he whispered out. His eyes wandering around her body as he took in the floral skirt and soft baby pink tank top she wore. He long legs were draped over one another and she had her hands her the side of her head.

            Upon further examination of Flora's body, Liam noticed a dark red line close to her inner thigh. "Alpha may I?" He asked as he pointed to her skirt. "My boy she will be your Luna so yes you may. I knew he wasn't doing it to be a pervert and look at her parts so I granted him permission. Liam slowly and carefully pushed Flora's skirt up until the fabric of her underwear showed. "Oh my..." Liam trailed off as his eyes looked at the deep red burn trailing all the way up her inner thigh. It looked as though she was burned with silver. Bringing his fingers up he lightly traced the burn which caused Flora to whimper in her sleep and flinch away from his touch.

            An anger filled Liam as he quickly stood to his full height, which was the same as mine. "Who did this" he growled out. I felt satisfied that my daughters future companion was so protective of her already. You see I still my family to run the pack. My daughter is my only heir to the alpha title so I need her to be with Liam. I know he will make a great alpha and father. Looking over at Liam I said, "I believe you should take Flora home. She will get very freaked out if she wakes up and sees you angry. She has a heavy dose of wolf sail in her. So she will be able to wake up, just not comprehend the situation around fully for about a week. Make sure no unmated wolfs are around her, she won't be able to protect herself if something happens. Liam had a look of determination on his face, "I won't Alpha."

            I smiled and watched as he picked her up, "Wait, what?" Liam growled out. Feeling confused I looked down to where he was looking and saw a mark on Flora's neck. What the hell! She hasn't even found her mate yet! "I guess I will just have to change that. With your permission Alpha?" I nodded my head and watched as he sank his canines into Flora's neck right over her previous mark. He kept them in for a few good minutes before sliding his teeth out. A new mark appeared on her neck in the place of the old one. "Looks a lot better" Liam whispered and brushed her hair out of her face. "Now she won't "What" Liam asked, confusion on his face. "My son, once a different werewolf marks over the previous mark on another werewolf. The werewolf being marked on becomes completely wiped clean, like a start over. This includes all their memories of the person who had previously done it."

            Liam picked Flora up bridal style and smirked, "Thank you alpha." He smiled at me brightly. "You're welcome son. Take care of her." I called out as he left, even though I knew he would anyways. Looks like I can finally step down from being alpha afterall.
