Stepping out of the hospital room I felt a sense of emptiness as I left the other person behind. He was still recovering from his injuries and hadn't woke up once. Evan has been with me every day for the past two weeks that I have been in this hospital. It was finally today that I was released.
With a strong arm wrapped around my shoulders, Evan lead me out of the hospital and down the cement stairs that led to the parking lot. "Every one is going to be so excited to see you again. Just take it slow with trying to remember everything." I nodded my head as he helped me into his car. Closing my door he jogged around to the other side and got in the car. Flashing me a quick smile he pulled out of the parking lot and soon we had arrived at the pack house.
This pack house was a lot different than the one I remember. Instead of rock and wood, the building was made of beautiful brick that had various colors. A cute little fountain stood at the front of the pack house, water splashing up were the wolf stood. The whole yard around the massive building was bright green with healthy growing grass, every now and then colorful flowers dotted the ground.
"This place is beautiful" He nodded his head and smiled. "Indeed it is." We walked inside the pack house and immediately I saw people cease what they were doing and launch themselves at me. "Luna!" "Luna I am so glad you are alright." "Luna we prayed to the moon goddess every morning and night for your return." Completely shocked I turned to look at Evan who was giving all the wolves a stern look. "You're my mate?" I glanced up at him and his eyes widened at my words. He immediately put his hands in front of himself and shook them at me. "No, no, no Flora. I am not your mate. I promise on the Moon Goddess." I didn't know whether to feel let down or confused. They were calling me Luna, but yet the only Alpha I know says he is not my mate.
The wolves in front of me glanced at me with sad and concerned looks before fading away from view. I glanced down at the ground, shuffling my feet. Hands grabbed my shoulders and I looked up, seeing Evan. "It's okay Flora, we'll get through this together."
