Fragile, Innocent, and Scared

Chapter 34

Alpha Sebastian's P.O.V

I stared down at Flora for the first time in a while. Her face was pale, her lips twitching in her sleep, and her body shaking. I could feel a sense of sadness strike me as I tried to hold her in my arms. Her body wanted to push me away and yet she still sighed with content whenever I held her. I was informed of the situation that took place when I was asleep and to say I was frustrated was only an inch of it. 'He was just trying to give her back her memories of us. That is why he bit her.' My wolf tried to coax my thoughts into a smoother and much calmer path, but it wasn't working.

Leaning down, I placed a kiss to my beautiful mates hand and left the room. I nodded to the guards outside her room and left the house. I had Flora placed under doctors care in my house. I do not want her to have to stay in the pack hospital again, it would drive her crazy. I jogged down the porch steps and to my car. I need to get this pup in the cells. "Chris (his beta) I want you to meet me at the guest pack house. I'm putting that pup in the cells." It took a minute for Chris to reply and he was a little hesitant. "Alpha are you sure you want to do this? This could cause an uproar within his pack. They came here to help us. Can we not just send him back to his pack?"

I got my car and started it up. "It would hurt Flora for her to be far away from him, but being too close to him will strengthen the bond. I need to keep him away and stay with her." He remained silent and cut off the communication. I know him and Evan are close friends, but his loyalty is to me.

Driving up to the brick building that housed the WindStone pack. I noticed Chris already standing out front. "Chris bring him out." I ordered. I would not lay a hand on Evan unless to protect myself. Flora would never forgive me and I don't think I would be able to stop myself. Even with my still recovering form, I wouldn't test the length of my strength and determination. I stood still, arms crossed as some of both packs congregated at a distance around the scene. I will not push them away. I believe in packs knowing everything that is going on so no deception in thought of.

A slamming of doors alerted my attention. Wrestling out the door was Chris and a warrior, forcibly guiding Evan out. I watched with a stone cold expression as he was shoved on his knees before me. "Alpha Evan of the WindStone pack, you are accused of trying to deprive this pack of their my mate and their Luna." I could hear a few pack members gasp and whispers were started. Evan growled at me, his eyes swirling with obsidian. His wolf was trying to take control. "I didn't mean to. I just wanted her memories of you back. She was depressed! She thought I was her mate because of the Luna title she held." I growled at that statement. "I just wanted her happy again." His head fell and he looked at my feet.

"You are sentenced to the cells until your bond breaks with my mate. Failure to comply will result in force and punishment." Evan growled, his wolf not liking to be belittled. Suddenly a little girl screamed out in pain. Her wail caught everyone's attention as we all became alert. "Emily! You're okay baby girl." A mother went rushing over to her young daughter who had slipped and fell, cutting her knee open. "I am sorry Alpha for the interruption." The mother bowed her head. "Jasmine, please take her home. I will be back soon." My warrior spoke as he focused on his young one and mate.

My attention zoned in on Evan a second too late. He had already clawed out at the distracted warrior, slashing his stomach. He yelled in pain and fell to the ground as Evan snapped Chris's leg. His Alpha speed was too fast for Chris and even more so, accelerated with the fact that Evan's wolf was completely in control. "Go inside now!" I ordered my pack members, quickly mind-linking the pack doctor. Evan launched at me, knocking the breath from my lungs, but not causing me to lose balance. I winced at the re-torn muscle in my shoulder and focused on the deranged wolf attacking me.

Sidestepping another attack I caught his right arm and dislocated his shoulder, rendering it useless in his crazy state. His limb hung numb by his side. If I break his bones, Flora will feel it immensely. If I kill him, she would lose half of herself. I only have one option. Evan growled viciously and snapped his canines at me. Running at me, I stepped in- between his legs, kicked his right leg forward, stepped on his left foot, and snapped his neck. His body fell to the ground with a thud, victim to a heavy sleep. "I need a pack doctor here now!" I ordered through mind-link as well as some warriors to take the unconscious Evan to the cells. Chris groaned on the ground as he held his broken leg, but I focused on my warrior Marcus.

"You are going to live. The doctor is on the way." I put pressure on his wounds and he cried out in pain. "I thank you for your sacrifice today." The warrior nodded, not being able to talk due to his pain. The pack doctor finally arrived with his assistant and ushered the Marcus into the neared health point. I thank my father every time when we have to use the small buildings he built for immediate surgeries and situations. "Chris, are you alright. I know that snap will be several bones." I kneeled down beside my Beta, as another doctor tried to assess the damage of the wound.

"I've had worse, but please don't tell Crystal about this. I do not need her stressing about with the baby about to come." I nodded my head, too thinking of my mate at the moment. "Keep me informed." I spoke before driving back to my house. How am I going to explain this to Flora?
