(Some unseen Flora and Sebastian moments.) Flora's P.O.V

Stomping away from my friends and... mate? What is Evan to me? I growled as I felt pain amplifying in my head. Flashes of this man kept dotting my vision, throwing me off balance and making me dizzy. Who is he? Who is he? Who is he?! Falling to my knees in the grass beside the walk I held my head, although loneliness ached in my heart. This, this man was everywhere, but at the same time Evan was too.

'Rolling around on the hill I laughed as the world spun and I lost control of all around me. Normally this would terrify me, but with him I wasn't afraid. Reaching the bottom of the hill I bumped into him and almost rolled over his body. I would have kept rolling if not for the strong arms that wrapped around me, keeping me close to him. "Beautiful little flower." Smiling at him I hugged him tightly, face burying in his shirt. "I love the feeling I get when I'm with you." I whispered even thought the wind was blowing, I knew he heard me.

'"Evan! Put me down!" Evan kept twirling around with me held to his chest, it was making me dizzy. "Say you will go to the dance with me!" He laughed out as we spun in circles. "Go by yourself you loser!" I let out a scream as he dropped my torso, leaving me dangling in the air by my legs. "Do you want to go now? How about now?" I really wanted to go with him, but I was just so scared. He's going to be there and then the next moment he will be gone. "If I love anyone, he will just kill them." Evan stopped smiling and frowned at me. Softly, he lay me on the grass, falling beside me. "Flora I will protect you and I can protect myself. Please give this dance a chance. I won't ever leave your side. We will be the best best friends there." He booped my nose and I pushed his shoulder, making him fall into the grass.'

'"So...do you like pasta?" I glanced up at my mate, eyes staring back into mine. Oddly I didn't feel uncomfortable under is stare. "Yeah I do, I guess." "Cool" he replied and scratched the back of his neck. He broke I contact with me and glanced at the boxed noodles on the counter. "You don't know how to make it do you?" I giggled at his confused face. His head snapped up, a smile gracing his lips. "No, no, I really don't. Please all beautiful one, grace us with pasta for dinner!" He prayed, suddenly on his knees as he began to bow over and over. I burst into laughter at his behavior. He pulled me down from the stool and hugged me tightly. "I love it when you smile." He spoke, running his hands through the tips of my hair."

Stumbling to stand, I took off running towards the woods. I need a run. Shifting into my wolf I took off, paws pounding into the earth beneath me. Trees blurred past me as I leapt over logs and darted past bushes. It felt good to be free of all the stress and aggravation. The wind blew through my fur as the sun danced through the tree branches. This was amazing! Slowing down I came to a stop by a small clearing in the trees. I lay down in the grass and roll around feeling like a child again, but that was short lived.

My senses were on full alert as three wolves crept out of the trees around me. Just out of nowhere these foul smelling, dirty creatures appeared. I growled, fur coming to stand on my back and claws extending as I sensed the threat towards me. The wolves circled me slowly in a wide circle. I studied their posture and body language as they growled and snapped their teeth. Three on one was hardly fair, especially with my mind wanting to fog over. How did they even get in this pack? Wait, what pack even is this?

The first wolf took a lunge at me causing me to back into the other behind me. It was a quick motion that had caught me off guard, but was enough to cause me pain. The second wolf attacked my side, scratching at the flesh and fur that lined my ribcage. I howled in pain and bit its ear off, blood dripping from my mouth. Suddenly a bite came to my hind leg as I felt the several teeth pierce my skin and tissue. What the hell?! I couldn't reach the wolf behind me without forcing my neck upon to the assuming leader standing in front. My hind leg kept getting jerked back and forth and now my front leg was attacked. Wasting no time, I snapped the neck of the one I had already bit. I'm so done with you.

My front leg shook and wobbled as I tried to stand on it. My body was fighting to stand on either half and my ribs burned. I felt relief as the wolf holding my hind leg released its grip and went to lunge for it. I succeeded in killing it but at the cost of what? The cost of getting attacked from behind once more. I collapsed to the ground, neck bleeding from the dangerous swipe to the side of it. I howled once more, knowing it was my last as my vision kept shifting in and out.

Dropping my head to the ground, I awaited defeat. It took some time, but I felt contact come with my body, just not pain. No I felt something I have felt before. It felt like a miracle. I felt sparks as my body was lifted from the ground. "I have you my little flower. Don't worry, your safe now."

Okay readers! @sher38 I would love to thank this reader for commenting such a long post on my previous chapter. Now readers I have some questions for you. Who do you think saved Flora? Who do you ship her with? Flora and childhood best friend Evan? Flora and mate Sebastian? How will Sebastian react to the bite on Floras neck?
