Flora's P.O.V
I had woken up the next day with Liam by my side. I shivered as I got out of the bed in disgust, but to anyone else it made it look like I was cold. I walked over to the door of the bedroom and slipped out into the hallway. I wanted to escape again, and believe me if I knew I had an ounce of a chance then I would. Even though Liam seemed to be under my spell last night, it won't always be like that. His Beta could be suspicious of me and render his thoughts onto Liam. I have to act like a good little mate for a while until I can successfully run away. There's also another thing. Where would I go if I did escape. I still don't have every single memory of how I got here. For all I know I could run right into his goons in a neighboring pack where I thought it was safe, but in reality it was an allies pack.
I inwardly sighed as I reached the kitchen and pulled out some eggs, peppers, bacon, and spinach. I don't usually eat peppers in my eggs, but I want to chop and dice something to keep from cutting his skin off his body. Ever since I got some of my memories back I've thought more tactfully and aggressively. My wolf always cautious and entranced into sizing everyone up around me as if preparing for a battle. I swear it was as if a flip switched in my brain and I went from a weak and shy little girl to a powerful and strong woman. Speaking of strength, I had to reframe myself when chopping the colorful peppers. I did not need to break a cutting board.
Layering the bacon strips on the pan, I then loaded them into the preheated oven and let them slow cook. I was in no hurry. I cracked a few eggs and watched as the yolk slid to the bottom of the bowl. It was refreshing in a way. I could have still been tied up, maybe in pain right now, but no, I was cooking breakfast and humming to myself. I threw a dash of salt and a pinch of pepper to the egg mixture and stirred it before placing a pan on stove. I set the eggs to the side for the moment so I could dice the peppers. I began slicing into the peppers, one by one, before I started to dice them fast. Chop. Chop. Chop. It was the only thing that could be heard in the kitchen, until footsteps tried to walk up behind me quietly.
My wolf was on hyper alert knowing it was Liam, but instead of letting him be the good boyfriend who wrapped their arms around the girls waist and lay their head on her shoulder, I decided to act the scared type. I spun around quickly with the big mamba of a kitchen knife gripped firmly in my hand. The knife sliced through his side like cutting through warm butter. Nice. Liam yelped and jumped back a few steps, instantly holding his side in pain. Time to start the show. "Oh my moon goddess! Liam I'm so sorry! I was thinking too hard and then I heard somebody behind me. I had this awful dream...I am so sorry." I dashed toward him, the bloody kitchen knife thrown on the counter.
"Flora. Flora. Flora!" He called to me, as I kept 'freaking out.' I stopped and looked at him, my eyes glossy with unemotional tears and my lips quivering. "It's okay. See? It healed already. I'm fine." He came pulled the bloody shirt off and tossed it into the trash can. Walking over, he enveloped me in a hug. "It's okay, I shouldn't have been so quiet." I squeezed him back and pulled away, well I tried to pull away. His hands cupped my cheeks and pulled me in for a soft kiss. I kissed back, or course unwillingly, but hey I got to slice his whole side open. It was pretty worth it.
"Let me finish making breakfast and you can go shower if you want to. Since your heat is over you can finally take a hot shower and not die of heat." I smiled and skipped upstairs.
