After Lurch left, an old lady entered the dining room and faced Meg.
"I'm so delighted you could come, dearie" she said.
Meg recognized this woman. It was the same old lady she was on the phone with.
"I'm glad to be here" said Meg politely.
"I see you did bring friends" said the lady.
"Yeah, she did. Good evening, ma'am. My name is Calvin O'Keeffe, the main salesman of houses here in California. I didn't catch your name though" said Calvin.
"You four are young. Just call me Grandmama" said the lady.
"Alright. That makes things easier for us" said Charles Wallace.
"So... Grandmama... this place is awesome" Sam complimented.
"I'm glad you approve, my dear" said Grandmama.
"Especially that fireplace. We'd have a heck of a weenie roast in that thing" said Charles Wallace.
"Yes..." said Grandmama uneasily.
"Seriously, guys. Look at this detail. I've never seen anything like it" said Meg.
Another man entered and said "Haven't you? My grandfather spent his fortune to build this place".
"Gawrsh. His entire fortune?" said Sam.
"Yes, child, his entire fortune" said the guy.
"Well, he did a very good job. I'm Calvin O'Keeffe, sir. I'm a little young, but I'm at your service" said Calvin.
"Gomez. Gomez Addams" said the man.
"This is my best friend. Mrs Meg Murry-Stuart" said Calvin.
"It's ver nice to meet you, Mr Addams. And this is my brother Charles Wallace Murry and our best friend Sam Pan" said Meg.
"Hey there" said Sam.
"Good to meet you" said Charles Wallace.
"You have such nice friends, Mrs Murry-Stuart" said Gomez.
"Yeah, that's the way we roll" said Charles Wallace.
"Children, why not sit down? You must be famished" said Grandmama.
"Thank you" said Meg.
The kids sat at the table and had dinner with Gomez.
"What do you think of the house, Mrs Murry-Stuart?" said Gomez.
"Oh, I think it's fantastic. Your people are so nice, the temperature is warm, the attention to detail is stunning. It's just wonderful" said Meg.
"You have such a way of description, my dear" said Gomez.
