Finney's Pov.

Oh my god!!! Robin is holding my hand! I can’t gay panic now! I’m so happy to have a friend like him. He always helps me when I’m getting picked on and he’s the sweetest person I know despite what everyone else thinks. As we run to the baseball field I can’t help but stare at him. Even though all I can see is his back, I love looking at his refined shoulder blades and his smooth straight hair that curls at the very end. He’s so attractive though I don’t know if he’s gay, so I can’t ask him out because I woulnd’t be able to live with myself if he didn’t want to be my friend anymore. As I continue to stare at him I don’t realize we arrived at the field until Robin lets my hand go and turns to face me.

“Hey, Finney? You good? You spaced out a bit.” I see Robin staring at me as I finally snap out of my trance.

“Yeah, sorry ‘bout that. Wanna help me set my rocket up?” I try to change the topic off of me as I start walking to the center of the dirt filled space.

“Definitely. Though you do know I know nothing about science right?” I can hear the slight uneasiness in his voice.

“Hahaha.” I couldn’t help but laugh at his face as he scrunched his nose in confusion. It was adorable.

“What are you laughing at?” He looks even more confused now.

“Sorry. You're just so adorable, hahaha!” I continue to laugh not even realizing I just called the toughest kid in school since Vance Hopper adorable. When I finish giggling I look up to see a bright faced Robin as he stares shockingly at me. It finally hits me that I said it out loud and soon my face is just as red.

Robins Pov.

As soon as he said adorable I couldn’t help but blush as he continued to laugh. It was the most angelic sound. I could feel my face turn hot as I see Finney’s turn a similar shade. We ended up just staring at each other for a minute until Finney cleared his throat, mumbling a quiet sorry as he then continued to set up his rocket.

“So how high do you think it’s gonna go?” I ask, sounding as interested in his rocket as I was in his eyes. We're both sitting on our knees as we, mostly Finney, set up his rocket. You can tell he’s focused on the stand as he ensures it won’t topple over. He responds not taking his eyes off the stand once.

“I’m not sure. It’s more of a trial and error thing. The last time I flew my rocket it went 15 feet in the air which is the highest it’s gone so I hope it goes even higher this time!” He smiled as he talked and I couldn’t help but smile as well. God he was so perfect. He was sweet and caring. I couldn’t understand how he gets bullied so much.

“That's so cool, Finney. I bet it’ll go even higher this time!” Once we finished setting up everything Finney pulled out his controller and we stepped back. We both glanced at each other before nodding.

“Ready?” Finney questioned and I took no time to respond.

“Ready!” You could tell I was excited and I wasn’t embarrassed to show it. Being with Finney always made me more confident and comfortable. Soon enough Finney pressed the button and the rocket took off. The sound was loud but that just added to its cool effect. It was awesome!

“Wow!” I look over to see Finney with a look of pure amazement and I could tell no matter how many times he did this he would always find it exciting. It was decided then that the look of amazement on his preciosa face was one of my favorites. I will never forget it.

“So how high did that one go?” I continued to stare at him as he then looked at me , temporarily forgetting the rocket that had finally reached the ground a few feet from the stand.

“It went about 16 feet! That's even higher than last time!” He started jumping up and down a little and I couldn't help but want to kiss him and never let him go. I quickly erased my thoughts trying to focus solely on Finney.

When he jotted down the height and date for his rocket he then packed up his stuff in his bag securely.

“Ready to go? I’ll walk you home kay?” I looked to Finney for his response.

“Yep! But you don’t need to walk me home. I can go by myself. It’s getting late and I don’t want you to get in trouble.” He was so thoughtful. But I’ve been wanting to walk him home and now was the perfect opportunity to.

“Nope. I’m gonna walk you home. Just like you said. It’s getting dark and I’m not letting you go by yourself. So let’s go!” I started walking before he could deny my request. As I was, I noticed he seemed to be lost in thought not moving from his original spot. “Come on Finney. Let’s go!” He blinked before rushing beside me and we then started to walk home.
