Dyanna was packing her horse for the long ride to Starfall. They had stayed with the brotherhood for too long and it was time to move on. Dyanna thought about staying. But the ways of the brotherhood wasn't the way she wanted to live.
Beric passes her. "You are always welcome to stay." Dyanna looks at him. Beric had shown her a lot of hospitality during her time here. A price she did not know how to pay.
"I can't stay..." she looks at Ned, who is helping Larence and Daryn pack their horse. "Will you protect him. He still young." Dyanna worried for her cousin, the little time they had together, she came to care for him.
"I've been looking out for him since he became my ward. The boy is a fighter. Will you be alright out there?"
Dyanna looked at the brothers who had accompanied her. She knew she be safe with them. But no matter where she goes, she will never be safe.
"I will never be safe. But having Daryn and Larence helps." Dyanna spoke truthfully.
"Ohh yes the Hornwood brothers. They care about you, Dyanna. Never seen two boys care for a woman like you. Keep them close." Dyanna nods. She knew she didn't deserve them. But she thanked what ever god out there that brought them to her. Because without Daryn and Larence she wouldn't know how to survive.
"Thank you." Dyanna looks at Beric's one eye. Beric smiles and nods. "Don't thank me. I would have done anything for Lord Stark. If I were to marry your aunt we would have been family."
"Do you wish things happen differently?" Dyanna ask. Beric gave her sad smile.
"Sometimes... but the lord of light has plans for us."
Dyanna nodded. She did not believe in the lord of light. But standing next to Beric made her hope that the Lord of Light will help her with the journey she will encounter.
Ned started walking towards Dyanna and Beric. Beric knew the cousins needed to talk alone.
"Until next time, lady Dyanna." Beric walks always, living Dyanna and Ned alone.
"Are you all packed?" Ned ask. Dyanna nods.
"That's good." Ned answered. Ned was really trying not to show how sad he was that Dyanna was leaving.
"Thank you... Ned. For so long I thought meeting my father's family would be strange. I thought I could never meet them. But I was wrong. You are so good, never change that. No matter what happens. Can you promise me?" Ned had tears in his eyes. He nods and goes in for a hug.
"I promise." Dyanna smiles. She wipes her tears before Ned could notice.
"Haven't seen aunt Allyria, it seems like forever, will you say hello for me." Ned ask. Dyanna nods.
Daryn and Larence made there way to Dyanna.
"Take care, cousin." Dyanna said. Ned nods. "This isn't goodbye, dear cousin."
Dyanna smiles. She gets on her horse. "No, it is not. We will cross paths again." Dyanna looks at Daryn and Larence, signaling that it is time to leave. Daryn rides out first, following by Larence than Dyanna.
Dyanna doesn't look back. This was it. She was finally going to her birth place.
Dyanna stopped on a hill. She was looking out in the horizon.
"It's beautiful, yet the reality is the real world is cruel and ugly." Daryn was on his horse behind Dyanna. The setting was beautiful.but nothing in this world is beautiful, everything gets ruin by man kind.
"It's not to late to leave." Dyanna spoke out. Daryn continues to stare out. Daryn ignored Dyanna comment. Daryn will never leave Dyanna. He came to care for the girl.
"I never imagine myself going to Dorne. Will you think a Northerner like me would fit in?" Dyanna smiles.
"You definitely will stick out." Daryn laughs , Dyanna joining in.
"I miss it... home." Dyanna whispers. She knew she could be her safe, let her guard down just for a bit in front of Daryn.
"Me too... I think about everyday." It was true. He had miss his home, he missed running in the forest of Hornwood. He especially missed his father, through a very hard man. Daryn learned a lot from Haly Hornwood.
"One day... one day we will go back." Dyanna hoped. Daryn nods.
"I hope we do." Daryn turns around heading back to his brother. Dyanna taking in the view for a few seconds, than returning back to Daryn and Larence.
