Me and Ben split up and started looking around every neighborhood close to home

Me and Ben split up and started looking around every neighborhood close to home.  I called some of Yn's friends and none of them knew where my daughter was.

— Ben, I don't know where else to look… Do you think she's gone far?  -I asked after he called me.  Affleck had practically gone to the side of town. — I don't think she'd have the guts to go that far, come back here.

— Jennifer, she's brave, I'm going to the nearest police station.

— Wait for me, I want to go with you. -I said and disconnected the call.  - Where are you, Yn... — I thought aloud looking at the sky.  I needed a clue.

I went back to Ben's house taking his car, when I was already close to where Ben was.  My cell phone started to ring, it was my mother.

I took a deep breath and suppressed the crying, I couldn't say that Yn had disappeared, not like this.

— Hi Mom.  - I answered seriously.

— Jennifer, don't worry, she's here with me.  Yn got here a while ago, but she's already slept in Lynda's room.

— Which?  Yn, there?  - I stopped the car abruptly. — Oh my God, how good! -I said starting to cry.  — How is she?

— Yes, Yn talked to me, Jennifer... You hurt your daughter, she doesn't want to talk to you.  Not now, of course.

— B-but I n-need to get her, s-she needs to go home.  - I said between sobs.

— And go, tomorrow.  Leave her here for a while, just show up here tomorrow, if you come now, they'll only fight more!

— Okay mom, at least I can sleep peacefully... - I sighed in relief. — See you tomorrow, Mom.

— Until... And judgment, Jennifer!' - She hung up.

I went to meet Ben at the police station, luckily he was sitting on a bench.

— Ben!  She's safe!  -I ran to him hugging him.

— The Yn?  Did you find her?

— Yes, she went to my mother's house.

— Thank God, let's go get her.

— No, she needs to sit there thinking.  I messed up with her, Ben, tomorrow I'll talk to her.

— Okay... So, do you want me to take you home? -I nodded and we walked back to the car.

Ben left me at home and went to his house, I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep today without knowing where Yn was.  But luckily I can sleep knowing she's safe and that tomorrow we'll talk without fighting.

The other day I woke up early, took a shower, ate some fruit for breakfast and stayed in my room.  I was trying to find the right words to talk to her, well, for our attitudes we have to have arguments, right?  Even if they are wrong, we have arguments.

I parked in front of my mom's house, thought several times about getting out of there and pretending it never happened.  But I couldn't do that...

— Hi Mom. -I smiled when she opened the door.

— Jennifer… Yn is getting ready in Lynda's room, I think I'd better go over there.  - my mother was with a serious face, I'm sure that later I would hear a sermon.

I walked around the house until I got to the front of the room, I knocked a few times and Yn replied with a "I'm fixing my hair, grandma".  I opened the door and she turned her face to face me.

— Hey.  -Yn said looking at me through the reflection of the mirror.

— We can talk now?  - I asked sitting on the bed looking at her in the mirror.

— I don't know what you have to say, but I'll make an effort to listen. -she shrugged still not looking at me.

— I'm sorry I did this to you.  I know that a betrayal is really unforgivable, but I will still talk to your father.  I don't know what was going through my head at the time, or indeed I do.  I felt horrible, I thought I wasn't enough for anyone, I had a relapse and so I preferred to seek safety in other arms...

— Wasn't my father your safe haven? Are families not our safe haven?  -she turned to face me.

— Your father has seen me in so many ways, I think if he saw me the way I saw myself, he would abandon me.  That's what I thought at the time.  I started to wipe my face so I wouldn't cry.

— Why do you have a hard time sharing your stuff with anyone?  If he had, he would have supported you.  -Yn spoke with a choked voice.

— That's me, Yn, but I'll try to talk to you more…okay?  -I started to cry, I think now we are getting along.

—  OK.  I just hope this ends now. I don't want to go through what you've been through again.

— How?  - I asked her without understanding her speech.

— Grandma told me about running away from home, because of her and Grandpa.

— Oh, sorry Sunshine. - I got up and hugged her.  — Too bad it's too late, I lost your father.  He is very sad with me.

— No… You didn't lose him.

— I lost Sunshine, saw the mixture of pain and hate in his eyes when I told him.  Ben changed with me, and this time it's for real.  -I sniffed my nose.

— No mama, it's not like that. He's still in love with you, everyone sees that.  -Yn smiled with tears in his eyes.

— Do you really think so?  -laughs weakly wiping his eyes and ruffling his hair.

— I'm sure!

— Okay… -I kissed his forehead.

Now apparently we were fine, Yn understood what I meant. We left the room hugging, my mother when she saw that scene smiled at both of us and also came to hug us.  This feeling feels so good, the only thing that still makes me sad is the conversation I didn't have with Ben.

I need him to listen to me, he always said that no matter what I do, he will always be by my side.  A pity those words didn't count when my mistake was with him...
