A ferocious growl behind him, deep and bellowing. Vosh could feel it in his human instincts that this creature was definitely a danger to him.

"It seems the human instincts I copied from this world's inhabitants are working." Vosh says to himself while getting into a half croach position, feeling true fear in himself at the mere idea he may die. A fear he had even knowing that if his avatar perished he could simply make another.

Vosh was very sure that this furry four legged creature was going to jump into the air to attack him. It was something he calculated a living being of this animal's intelligence to do on prey like him cornered at the edge of a cliff.

And Vosh wasn't shaken badly by his own fear, instead he dug deep within himself to summon something he never felt before; his will to live.

He prepared a right hand fist that he'd amplify with a jump from his croached position up the chin of the starving wolf while it jumped at him mid air

"HADOKEN!!!" he shouts.

Nonetheless the creature still manages to graze Vosh and now he's bleeding from his left arm. How did it do it? It used the momentum of the uppercut to graze him by stretching out a single claw.

But this was enough to introduce a new fear in Vosh; a fear of pain as even though the cut the beast made was minimal, not deep and was most certainly small and shallow right below his left rib cage, it felt spectacularly painful.

"This..... It's less from the cut itself but there's foreign mana on the cut that toying with my neurons!" Vosh thinks to himself. He then sees at the top right of his vision

<Lost 579HP!
<Status effect [Phantom pain] has been inflicted!
<Lost 57HP!
<Lost 57HP!
<Lost 57HP!
<Lost 57HP!

"[Phantom pain]?! My consciousness can only vaguely sense whats going on with it but I can only use my consciousness to control this avatar. Otherwise I'd just will it to remove this "Status effect"!" Vosh says to himself

The starving wolf wasn't just sitting and waiting while Vosh was checking himself out, this whole time it seemed to be gathering something from the atmosphere around it into its entire body.

Vosh was keeping his distance as he had no idea what the wolf was doing and did not know if interfering was a wise decision.

Suddenly the glowing blue wolf vanishes, Vosh of easily dodges a vertical bite by ducking to the floor.

But Vosh was not finished, while the wolf was directly over him, he jumped which combined with the Wolf's forward momentum launched him into the air right over the cliff.

"I could run but I'm not fully sure on the limits of this body. I don't have a subconscious physical limiter like the other beings of this planet and I may end up breaking bones if I don't test my limits." Vosh thinks to himself.

Vosh decides that instead of waiting for the wolf to land, he was going to hit in the air where it can't dodge.

So he braces his legs, tenses his calf muscles and makes a dash faster than the speed of sound towards the calculated area of where the wolf would be by time he reached him.

But he was somewhat faster than he realized even while understanding the universal laws of this universe. It was the influence of the system that introduced variables that shouldn't even be existing naturally in this universe that added extra strength to the avatar for various reasons.

Firstly was his physique. It has a [Perfect Mana channel] body layout that already strengthen the physique but as a reward by the system added points to physical strength for being the first to achieve this in that existence. It was something that Vosh had from the start so there was no notification regarding it but he'd soon find out later.
