"Touch"

Katelyn wasn't used to spending her nights alone, so she hasn't been sleeping. Some nights Karl would come and lay with her to help her sleep, but she insisted on trying to work on it herself.

So here she lay, wide awake just staring at her ceiling. Her lights were off, the only light being from the street lights outside. her phone was abandoned next to her so she didnt have the urge to call someone.

Her phone pinged with a message from the mr. beast groupchat. While she hadnt asked to be in the crew, she was basically their sixth member, if you count Nolan as the fifth.

Katelyn heard her front door open and close before hearing footsteps up the stairs. she was so beyond exhausted that she didnt want to move. if she died, she died. her body was drained from the lack of sleep. her brain made her anxiety shoot up, but at the end of the day all she wanted was sleep so she gave the person the benefit of the doubt.

"Katelyn?" She heard Karl's voice in her bedroom as her door opened slowly.

"What are you doing here?" She asked, her anxiety calming down.

"You can't sleep and im clingy because of how exhausted i am." He replied honestly. He slipped off his shoes, setting them by the door as he sat down on the bed. He slipped off his hoodie, handing it to the girl before fixing his shirt and laying down next to her. Katelyn sat up and slipped the hoodie over her head. The feeling and the smell of Karl lulled her into a state of pure exhaustion. she could feel her hours of no sleep hit her like a truck.

"Why do you always come and help me sleep?" She asked, her eyes falling shut every so often as she looked at him.

"Because it helps me sleep too, and i know you need it. you can sleep, katelyn, youre allowed to sleep, okay? eli won't get hurt. you won't get kicked out. you can sleep without anyone being upset at you." He said softly, his hand untangling the small knots in her hair.

"i love you, karl." Katelyn said softly, her body relaxing into his as she fell asleep.

"You have no idea, Katelyn." He whispered, falling asleep holding her. he would do this forever if he could.
