12: Female Issues

A/N right k I've got quite a lot to say so I might as well just get on with it now before I actually start. So, at the time of writing, I am at 992 reads. Holy crap (excuse my French). How did this happen?! I'm so confused. Anyway thank you all SO much for this, I'm so happy oml ö so next thing, this idea came from reading the DW oneshots book by FaNdOmFiCs03 so I decided to have a go at writing one like it myself. All credits to FaNdOmFiCs03 because she gave me the idea. Guys reading this, I recommend skipping through this (but don't forget to vote) because you may be scarred. Girls, I hope you enjoy it. Rose's POV

I rifle through my bag as fast as I can. Why? Why me? I'm stuck on board a spaceship that's currently in orbit around the Andromeda Galaxy, with two males--one being an alien and another being a creepily flirty American guy. Why did I have to get it right now? Oh God, what was I going to do?

Can the TARDIS get that kind of thing? I mean, how am I even supposed to ask a spaceship for pads? Like, I don't care if it's alive, and I don't care if it's a girl. I am not asking it for pads.

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to speak to the Doctor.

After checking through my bag once more, I sigh heavily and make my way to the TARDIS console room. I guess I might as well get on with it.

'Um, hey Doctor,' I say uneasily. He looks up and grins at me. 'Hola. So, where do you wanna go today?'

Taking a deep breath, I say, 'Uh, actually, I was wondering if you could take me home? Just for a quick trip. I need to buy something.'

The Doctor's face creases. 'Uh, can't the TARDIS get it for you? She can provide pretty much anything,' he says matter-of-factly.

'Uh...' I say. 'Look, it doesn't matter. I just need to go. Like, now.'

He frowns but sets the TARDIS to 21st-century Earth and we land. 'Thanks!' I call and run as fast as I can out of the doors.

When I come back, in about ten minutes time, the Doctor and Jack are in deep discussion. Red-faced, I slip past them, carrier bag in hand. But Jack spots me and winks.

'So, doing something secretive, are we?' he grins. I redden even more and hide the bag protectively behind me.

'No,' I say as innocently as I can. 'Uh, I just needed to buy something.' Jack looks over to the Doctor and before I can say another word, he dives at me and starts to tickle me. I squeal and wriggle around in his grasp, dropping the bag as I do so.

Jack tips the contents on the floor. 'Let's have a look.' He sees the coloured packets and laughs. The Doctor looks confusedly at them. 'Oh, Doctor. You mean you seriously don't know what they are?!'

The Doctor shakes his head, confused. 'No. Why have you bought little orange things?' he says to me. He picks one up and reads the top.

'Always? What does Always mean?' Then suddenly he digs his nails into the plastic packaging and rips it, causing an explosion. I close my eyes and wince, my face red.

'Doctor!' I say as I embarrassedly gather up the pads from the floor. 'You want me to teach you?'

Jack shakes his head. 'I am out of here. Not listening to this.' He leaves and I breathe a sigh of relief. The Doctor frowns and goes to pick one up, but I stop him.

'Basically, Doctor,' I start. And then I give up because I just do not know where to start. 'Can't you just, like, scan me or something?'

He shrugs and pulls out a weird scanner thing, and runs it down the length of my body. As he reads the little screen, the Doctor's face contorts and he suddenly turns incredibly red.

'You bleed where?' he exclaims. 'What the--?'

I close my eyes. 'You know Doctor, sometimes, you can be really, really stupid.' But in spite of myself, I plant a kiss on his nose.

Because sometimes, he's absolutely adorable.
