" Hey, Giorno. I have more papers for you. "
You stepped into Giorno's office and set the papers on his desk. Giorno looked away from the document he was writing, and at the stack you had placed down.
" Thank you, mia cara. "
" Not a problem. Do you need any help with all of the paper work? "
" I'm almost done, thankfully. How is your day so far, mia cara? "
" It's fine, nothing real interesting has happened except for Narancia getting his hair stuck in a blow dryer. "
" How did that happ--"
" Fugo. " You said, interrupting your Boss.
" Narancia failed his math test? "
" Exactly, and Fugo was furious, while Narnacia was just brushing it off, which infuriated him more. "
" That sounds like them. What are you going to do now? "
" I think I'm going to go for a walk or maybe go into Naples and take the train somewhere. I wanna get out of the house. "
" I'll come with you. "
Giorno stood from his desk and pushed his papers to the side, moving around his desk.
" But, you have lots of work to do. "
" Spending time with you is more important. Let's be off. "
Giorno took your hand within his and guided you out of the mansion and to one of the cars outside. He opened your car door for you, and you slipped into the car with ease. Giorno then climbed in on his side and started the car.
" Do you want to drive around for a while, or would you like to go to the train station? "
" I would be fine with riding with you for a while. "
" As you wish. "
Giorno pulled away from the house and down the road, heading away from Naples. The roads were smooth, and there were open fields beside you, giving you a sight to see. Giorno would glance at you occasionally but keep his eyes on the road. Today looked like it would be the day for his special occasion.
Giorno drove around until he came across a field of flowers that were growing high. Giorno pulled to the side of the road and turned the engine off. He looked at the flowers, smiling at seeing them grow. Then, an idea came to him.
" Let's take a walk. "
Giorno stepped out of the car and went to your side, opening your door. When you stepped out, he took your hand and the back of your palm a kiss.
" Thank you for letting me come. This looks like its going to be relaxing. "
" Of course. I know how hard you've been working. You need to take a break every once in a while. "
Giorno's smile brightened, and he led you toward the flower field. There was a gate, and he stepped over it and waited for you. After you climbed over it, Giorno started to walk through the flowers, taking in the sight of each one. Every once in a while, he would pick up a flower and hold on to it until he eventually made a bouquet.
There were a few stone walls around the area where houses once stood but were gone. You stopped at one of these stone walls and sat on top of it, resting your legs. Giorno sat beside you and handed you the bouquet.
" That's more than one flower for today. " You said, looking at Giorno.
" We can pretend I forgot about yesterday. "
You only shook your head and looked at all the flowers around. A slight breeze blew by, carrying a few petals of the flowers with it. The scene truly was something out of a story.
" Mia Cara. "
You turned your head toward Giorno, who was still looking toward you, with a loving look in his green eyes. Giorno's raised his right hand and rested his palm against your cheek while his other hand remained at his side.
" Yes? What is it? "
" Y/n, I almo--I lost you once before. During our adventure to defeat the Boss, I had lost you, and it was in that moment of sadness that I realized something. I realized that I had a lot of regrets about you. "
" What regrets? "
" I regret not being with you more. I regret not showing you my full affection. I regret letting others show you their love while I sat to the side, showing you my love very few times. I regret not protecting you more. I regret never learning about your past, to tarnish the irrational fear you had of my abandonment. I regret not telling you that I love you more. "
Giorno's smile had slowly disappeared, and now he looked at you with seriousness. His thumb started to rub the skin underneath your eye gently as he found the words he wanted to speak.
" When you died, I realized that I had lost the most important person in my life. You were the only person to stay with me through the years and encourage me. My father was, never in my life, my mother and step-father, gone and abusive. . .I had no one but you. You are the only person I can call family, the only person I love with my entire heart, and the only person I want beside me. "
To you, this sounded like a marriage proposal, but it was a proposal of some sort. Giorno leaned his head closer, and your noses touched in an Eskimo Kiss.
" Y/n, I want you to be mine, and I yours. No one else's. I love you, with all I am. "
You were a little shocked by how forward he was being, but you were also very touched. But, of course, you already knew your answer and had for a long time.
" I love you too, Giorno Giovanna. Forever and always. "
With your answer, Giorno connected your lips with his. His free hand went to your waist, trying to pull you closer. His lips were firm but soft. The kiss you could feel was full of love, and you melted in his hands. You kissed him back, closing your eyes. When your lips would part, Giorno would take one second to breathe before kissing you again. The kisses were slow and long, drawing you to lean against his body.
" I love you. "
" I love you. "
" I love you. "
Giorno, between breaths, would say that he loved you to make up for all the times he didn't tell you before. Eventually, you started to feel lightheaded and pulled away from Giorno's lips. Your breath was ragged, and so was Giorno's, but that didn't stop him from smiling. Instead, he held your lower back and rested his forehead against yours. Giorno's smile never left his perfect face, and he seemed to light up with joy.
" Mia cara, I don't think I've ever been this happy. You are mine. "
" I am yours. As you are mine. "
You pressed a quick kiss to Giorno's lips, and he chuckled. He pulled you close and hugged you, resting his face on your shoulder. You hugged Giorno back, embracing his warmth. The wind blew by, carrying petals with it, and they seemed to fly faster as the wind picked up.
Giorno's story would start and end the same way fate had decided. He would become the Boss of Passione and rule Itlay, but who knew his fate would intertwine with yours, creating something beautiful, creating a love so gold that it could never lose its shine.
