"Wait, being attacked? By who?"
"I-I don't know! I was sleeping when the Traveler woke me and told me to be quiet! Th-There's something in the water!"

Itto and Y/n shared a look before he threw on his sleeveless coat. "We can't stay down here, we gotta get up there!" Y/n understood what he was planning and warned Paimon on the other side, "Paimon, move away from the door!"

Itto rolled his shoulders as he took a few steps away from it, before running at it full force. He rammed his shoulder into the door and made a huge indent. He stumbled back and saw the damage.

"Dang, this door's tough... No problem, I'll get it this time!" He returned to his original position with a determined look. He then threw his whole body against the door and finally, it gave in.
"Wh-HEY!" Itto yelped when the door fell off it's hinges and he went down with it.

He laid there, sprawled out and groaning in pain. On the other side, Paimon stared with her jaw hanging.
"You're pretty strong..." She realized.
"Happens when you're as cool as me." He answered nonchalantly.

Y/n rolled her eyes and walked over him, "Sorry for busting your door, G." She muttered unapologetically and followed Paimon upstairs. "Wh- Wait up!" Itto scrambled onto his feet and ran after them.

The moment they reached the top deck, blinding light greeted them along with a cool gust of wind. It was much needed after spending so much time in the dark and humid engine room.

Lumine had her sword in hand and was scanning the waters diligently. Teppei was as well until he heard the three approaching. He beckoned them over while holding a finger to his lips.

"There you two are! Keep it down, there's-" Before he could finish his sentence, a large whale-like creature leapt from the water in a long curve and bellowed deeply.
"No way..."
"It can't be..."
Y/n and Itto watched in terror when they saw the familiar black and blue serpent-whale.

"Not you again!" The two yelled in unison.

It dove into the water and a huge wave that would be more accurately compared to a tsunami was sent their way. "Brace yourselves!" Lumine yelled and held onto the nearest railing and everyone followed her lead.

"You know that thing?" Paimon asked over the loud sounds of waves crashing against and around the boat. "I mean we're not buddy-buddy or anything but we've had a run-in with it before." Itto explained and nearly slipped.

Y/n looked around for anything that could possibly help them out of this predicament.
'Maybe there's something below deck.' she thought.
"I'll be right back!" She told Itto, whom was the closest, and went back down. "What? Where're you going?!" By the time he had finished, she was already halfway down the stairs.

Itto groaned in frustration and returned his attention towards the sea beast that circled the ship. He just had to trust that Y/n knew what she was doing.

Lumine held her sword firmly in hand and Teppei held his polearm with white knuckles, like he had never used it before which was only a little concerning.

The creature three itself against the boat and Paimon's cry tore through the air, "HEEELP!" Itto was just in time to see her get thrown overboard and plunged into the water. "Paimon!" The other two yelled simultaneously.

Without thinking, Itto ran after her. "Arataki, wait!" He heard Lumine's attempt to stop him but he had already dove in after Paimon.
