At some point after a very early morning breakfast we cleaned up the mess (read: we stuffed everything into the Rkive office to deal with later) and reset the space for when the doctor came back to continue his investigation into our soul bond group.

The doctor walked in, distracted by the paperwork in his hands.

The tests from the lab work from yesterday came in, and he was pouring over it, a furrowed brow as the clearest view of him as he knocked on the door.

'Doctor Choi, is everything okay?' Hoseok asks as he opens the door.

'Hmmm?' is his reply as he steps in. It seems he's so focused on the documents that his attention can't be split.

Recognizing this (we've all seen Namjoon and Yoongi have the same focus) Hoseok makes sure he has clear access to the desk and chair he's been using as an office space for coordinating the testing.

A club chair gets moved.

Taehyung is pulled out of the doctor's way.

At one point Yoongi even puts a gentle hand on the doctor's elbow, guiding him through the space to the desk.

As quiet descends on the apartment, everyone curious, the doctor sits, turning the page he's been reading over, continuing his study of the document.

'What's next in the testing?' Asks Seokjin once the doctor comes out of reading the paperwork.

'I'm working on a theory. But first, I need to verify a few things and clarify some of what's been found out so far.' He replies. 

Nodding his thanks at Jungkook handing him a cup of coffee, he turns in the club chair to focus on me.

'What were you told is your blood type?' He asks.

'I have my father's blood type, A positive.' I reply. The grin from the four others who share my blood type makes me smile warmly.

'And what health conditions have you had to be treated for over your life?' the doctor continues his questioning.

'I've been actively hypothyroid since I was in my mother's womb. I made her crave lemons, and I still adore them.' I pause, considering. 'It contributed to my imbalance of flora in my system, so I am unusually prone to UTIs, have low stomach acid, and have had trouble with properly digesting the nutrients I ingest every day.'

Nodding the doctor waits, having read my medical history already.

'Because of my thyroid I've had problems fighting off flu and viruses that increase body temperature, sometimes dangerously so, and have been hospitalized a couple of times for complications because my temperature got above 105. Except for a few childhood incidents that lead to stitches I think that's the most of it.' I sit back, realizing the worried looks are unanimous across the rest of the faces in the guys.

'Alright, so we're going to cover what the tests have discovered this far.' The doctor nods, sitting back, flipping to the page he wants to start on.

'Y/N, your blood type is no longer A positive. It is now O positive.' I just blink. 'The thyroid condition you had is gone, so all the side effects should also be gone as well. The scars aren't effected by the soul bond, so you'll be keeping those.' 

At this everyone sits back, jaws hanging.

'Wait, what?!' Hoseok shouts.

Pandemonium happens for the next few minutes as the majority of the guys jump up, babbling out their shock and disbelief of what was just announced.

The two who also have O positive blood grin at each other and me before sitting back, considering what was said.

As Seokjin shouts for everyone to settle down and be quiet Yoongi turns to the doctor.

'So Y/N now also has a genetic rewrite?' He quiet voice rings in the the calm after the chaos.

'Yes. I have checked each person in this soul-bond group, and her data is the only one that is so actively different from before the initial contact to create the soul bonds.' Doctor Choi replies.

'Is there other things we need to know about her new biology?' Namjoon asks concerned.

'I'm not sure what to say to that.' The doctor says to Namjoon. 'That's the sum total of the differences that has been tested for so far. As we discover more there is a possibility that we'll find something to be concerned with, but why are you worried about her changes?'

'Namjoon, there's no need to stress, but I need to stop taking the medications that were absolutely necessary before.' I add. 

Turning the doctor, I ask 'Does this mean all my seasonal allergies will be affected by the genetic rewrite as well?'

He shakes his head. 'No, i'm sorry. The allergies still show as the same as what you developed with puberty.' I nod, accepting the answer. 'You might be able to get the allergy shots now, and have them work for you. I noticed you've tried them in the past, but stopped them after a year of trying. May I ask why?' He continues.

'The shots just ratcheted up my reaction to the allergies. I didn't want to take up to six times the dosage for the recommended otc medications, regardless of what the doctor told me I could do. So, when the ability to take the shots in-office became harder to coordinate... I just quit the process.' I answer.

'Did you notice a difference when you did quit?' He asks.

I nod. 'The amount of allergy meds needed decreased without the shots. Maybe not to normal levels of medication usage, but still lower than what I was having to take when I was taking the shots regularly just to feel close to normal.'

The guys seem shocked by my medication usage, but are being quiet about it as I explain.

The arched brow from Namjoon tells me he'll ask me about this later.

'Back to the blood type change,' Yoongi says, 'what does this mean for her or for us'

'A positive is a good donor, but O positive is a universal donor, so she can now donate to every member, regardless of their own blood type. For anything else we'll have to wait and see.' Seokjin and Yoongi grin.

'At least we won't be the only ones available to donate if asks anymore.' Seokjin says, slapping Yoongi's hand in a high-five.

'So, the tests for this round is less individual.' Doctor Choi says as he moves on to the plan for the day. 'You pointed out the electrical effect when we first met Y/N. We'll test that, see if anything has changed.'

I nod as Taehyung takes notes.

'But first we're going to see if there's any changes to fertility.' the good doctor drops this bomb into the silence.
