I smirked before leaning into him, so close, that my lips almost brushed against his.

"You think you scare me, Barnes?" I asked challengingly.

"I can see it all over you. You don't say it, but your body sure does." He told me.

The tension between us increased as I felt my body react to his words. Heat covered my face and chest, and pressure slowly built between my legs.

What the fuck was happening to me? I've never had these types of reactions before.

I laugh, forcing my body to calm down. "You don't know shit about me or my body... In fact, I'm willing to bet you don't know shit about any women." I told him as the car came to a stop.

I quickly got out and rushed to where Howard and Steve were waiting.

Steve turned to look at me before he looked at something behind me. His eyes widened before he began laughing.

I turned to see Bucky walking toward us, an angry expression on his face.

The side of his face had a red welt on it as he approached us.

"So, how are you treating my little princess?" Steve asked, between chuckles.

I blanched at him before narrowing my eyes at Bucky.

'Go on, tell him.' I think, challenging him with my eyes.

He smirks, "Your little princess has anger issues and throws hands like an inmate." He replied, before smirking, "Things are fantastic." He adds sarcastically as he pulls my arm and takes me into the jet that's waiting for us.

"You're an asshole." I growled as I yanked my arms free of his hold.

"And you are a bitch." He supplies as he follows me to a seat and sits down in the one next to it. "Get used to it, baby girl, because you and me? We're going to be together for a while." He adds with a secretive smile.

I gave him a blank stare, "What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Did my father make you my permanent bodyguard or something?" I asked with a frown.

His smirk widened, "Or something." He replies as everyone walks in.

A satisfied smile on his face as he adjusts himself in his seat and places his seatbelt on.

I scoff and stand up getting ready to change my seat only for him to wrap his hand around my wrist and yank me back into my seat.

"Let. Me. Go. You animal!" I growl.

He rolls his eyes in response, before leaning to me. "Listen here you little brat, that bitch you call your mother is gunning for the fortune that she knows your paternal grandmother left you. The only way for you to avoid her getting her hands on that money is for you to get married." He told me quietly as everyone stared at us wordlessly.

"No, I thought I didn't have any money. She always said-" I began but realized soon what that meant.

He nodded in response, "The only way for you to stop her attack is to already be married. You have two options. Choose wisely." He told me.

"What options?" I asked.

"Anthony Stark." He said the first one.

I frowned, I knew of him, he was a genius but a fucking playboy. I wasn't going anywhere near that. "Who is the second option?" I asked.

He smirk dropped and his expression turned into a pained grimace, "Me." He finally said.

I blanched at him, looking towards Peggy, who winced and nodded in response.

"But you're like forty!" I gasped out.

He smirked, "I'm spry for my age." He joked.

I rolled my eyes at him, but sighed and put my head in my hands.

"We know this isn't an easy choice but Bucky can protect you." Peggy said.

"I guess, he is two of the lesser evils." I grumbled, as I grabbed a glass from the stewardess and chugged down it's contents.

"So, what do you say?" Steve asked. "Who will it be?"

"Bucky." I mumbled as I took another glass and chugged it down.

As I reached for the next Bucky's hand snatched my hand.

"I needed that!" I complained.

"No, you don't. We need you sober to sign the damn papers. As soon as we get in Peggy is going to have someone waiting for us to sign." He told me.

"How is that possible?" I asked confused.

"You'd be surprised how much money can move shit in the world." He replied as he waved the stewardess away.

I pouted and turned to stare out the window the rest of the way.

So this was what my life was going to be. Great.
