As the car pulls up to the front of the house, I start to remember that this isn't just a house. It's a whole-ass manor. ¨well damn, I wasn't expecting the house to be this big but ok¨ I said with a shocked voice.
¨Yeah it's what happens when your husband is a"
I cut Jenny off.
"lord yes I know, but it's not like you see a congressman with a house like this house in the states.
"Estell says as everyone in the car laughs, "Right, because they're bigger over there."
Even though I didn't even think about it, I feel bad for cutting her off. It's my instant reaction when I finally understand something, and I don't need any more information. However, I will try to avoid cutting people off for as long as I'm here because I don't want to sound rude. I am an open-minded and open-hearted individual. The thing is, what I say isn't always what I mean.

We get out of the car and I say
¨true but houses like these aren't passed down to children in the states unlike here"
It's weird that I say the states. Even though that's the correct usage, I don't wanna say the united states of America and or America because it can confuse people. Yes it does confuse people, I'm surprised too. But I just say the states. Short. Informative. Direct. I grab my bags and start looking around. The manor is huge and painted a sunflower yellow. It feels nice. The rain stops sprinkling and as I'm looking around, Jenny says,
"let's not waste our time standing around outside better get inside".

As we enter the house. Estell yells,
"I'm HOMEEEEE!" as we rush inside.
Jenny plugged her ears but I didn't. I've been yelled at. Seen people yelled at. Just yelling in general. The united states are just loud in general. America is Like the younger brother that will nonstop Scream while Britain just sits there in annoyance.
¨Yes love but not so loud please.¨
¨Sorry mum.¨
In the foyer of the house, there's a staircase that raps around foyer. In the middle, there is an extravagant chandelier. It kinda looks like a smaller version of the chandelier from phantom of the opera. But this chandelier doesn't look like it's going to crash into a stage and set fire anytime soon. It just sits there. Calm and collective. After admiring the chandelier for a while I hear a voice down the hall.
¨Honey where are you¨
A guy says while he comes down the steps the stairs. This is Simon. Estells Father.
"Im in the foyer¨
¨So where is are America- oh there he is."
Simon... He kind of sounds like an American trying to a British accent after running into someone that is British and trying to impress them even though they just embarrassed themselves.
¨Simon, it's been a while¨
I say with a happy attitude. Simon is wearing a white button-up shirt with a black crewneck over it and blue slacks with dress shoes like he just got home from some important event.
¨Nice to see you again kingston.¨
I know I said that I only go by KC but Simon gets a pass only because he only likes full names. Which I can understand and im ok with.

We start walking down the hall and I see Simons's office and when I look passed the door I see a red robe.
¨house of lords.¨
I say under my breath. Simon here's me and says.
¨yeah pretty existing for newcomers but I guess I'm just used to it by now. You know the position of what I do."
Simon Whitlock, house of lords. If you don't know let me explain. The house of lords is one of the houses of parliament that has two houses. The other house is the house of commons. Think senate and house of representatives. The Senate is the house of lords. And the house representatives being the house of commons. To be more discriptive, lords are in the red chamber where the monarch presents their speeches and governs the lords. While the commons are in a green champer and everyone in that house represents great Britain. There's history between these two houses like an old-school football rivalry. There's so much I can explain with it but that is for you to google search for your own interest.

As Simon is telling me about the robes a voice comes past us like a ghost.
¨Trust me it's not as interesting as it seems."
¨now Liam you don't have to be rude about it.¨
This is Liam. Estelle brother. Twin brother actually even though they are nothing alike.
¨How and why do you know so much about British history anyways?"
Again as I've said before. Even though I grew up in basically every ghetto neighborhood in every major city of the united states. I always managed to find something of history. It's too important to just forget or not know.
"its kings and queens fighting for supremacy. That's the best thing and the best part is that it's real, not some shitty ass movie movie. Also, I get bored easily and I like history so sue me."
"Trust me with the American way of governing I won't."
Liam says with a smile as he tries to act like he just scored a point for Britain in the Olympics or something. My initial reaction was to read him.

Reading means to take a flaw of a person and talk shit about it. Not necessarily shit talk but make fun of. It started in Harlem new york part of the underground ballroom scene. Black and Latino members of the gay community. It was a way to escape from the hate they had and a space to be themselves. I look up at the ballroom scene. As a gay kid that has lived in Harlem for a year and has snuck into ballrooms across new york city, it was one of the best times of my life. Hopefully there are some here in London for me to go to. Who knows, only time will tell.

I would have read Liam and his outfit. From what I've always seen, Liam cannot dress. And when he tried, it was just hell. It would look like someone saw two totally opposite colors of the color wheels and said ok that'll do. He's wearing a dark green shirt with light blue joggers that have a stain on the left knee. Yeah, can't dress. I don't say anything while he walks away. Estell walks up to me.
"let's go to your room."
I'm honestly ready to see what she is going to do. I have 1000 ideas going through my mind like I have nipsy Russell syndrome or something. Actually, I do, it's when you can think of a rhyme or poetry off the top of your head. We walk up the elegant staircase which made me feel like a duke of some sort. When we reach the top of the staircase I see 4 doors to my right as we talk to the left. Two doors down from the staircase are my room. My first reaction is to start singing two doors down by Dolly Parton.
"So are you ready."
Estell says with a build-up in her voice.
"Ready as ill ever be."
I say while she opens the door.
