Being the daughter of the king of Talokan, Aquaria grew up as a royal in the underwater civilization. Her father, K'uk'ulkan, always hoped that she would take his place as the ruler of Talokan if anything should happen to him.
Aquaria wanted nothing more than to protect her home and its waters, but she wanted to explore the surface world first, but no one ever let her. Her father and Namora always spoke of the ungrateful and selfish humans. But every now and then, Aquaria would swim a little too close and watch the people of the land with curiosity.
Over the nights when she'd go collect seashells, Aquaria started to develop a plan to go discover the surface world on her own. Deciding that her seventeenth birthday celebration would be a big enough distraction, Aquaria sneaked away to the land with a heavy heart and guilty conscience.
Now meeting a princess and getting involved with Wakandans that she swore she'd never interact with was definitely not part of her plan.
