Elinor's POV:

I dialed Jessa's number. "Elinor! God! I'm so worried about you." She exclaimed.

"Shh...Let me talk first." I seriously said and her line became silent.

"I sent you your plain ticket to Davao. Go home; your family needs you. You think I wouldn't know that you resigned? I have eyes and ears there." I said.

"How did you know?! I told them to not say anything." She said and I chuckled.

"Go home. I'll be fine." I said before ending the call.

After that, I called my lawyer to rush the process of my parents' divorce so my mom would finally be free from them, and he said that it would be done in five days.

"Good, don't disappoint me." I coldly said before ending the call.

To: Mom
Take care, mom. I love you so much.

"Eli! Halika na maiiwan na tayo ng eroplano." Sabi ni Tina at tumango naman ako.

Aalis na kami. Uuwi na ako sa totoo kong pamilya.

It's time for me to forget all the things that happened and move on and finally heal.

When we landed I don't know why I'm so nervous and It's not my first time being here at Canada. "Okay ka lang? You look tensed. Hindi nangangagat si mama." Tina joked and I shookm my head and laughed.

We arrived at a subdivision and it looks luxurious here and wherever I look I see mansions. "So you are rich!" I said and she shook her head.

"No, I'm not. Our parents are rich not me." She said and I just kept silent and nodded.

We arrived at a mansion, and I'm not going to lie, it's huge, and I'm shocked. I usually see this type of mansion whenever we visit my great grandparents.

"Madam! Salamat sa Diyos at nakauwi kayo dito ng ligtas." A woman said and hugged Tina. I suddenly missed Manang.

"Ito na ba ang Ate mo? Napakagandang bata! Parang hindi nadadapuan ng lamok ang balat. Biro lang." The woman said and hugged me.

"Welcome home, Ate." Bulong ni Tina at napangiti naman ako.

When we entered, I suddenly felt so comfortable, and it felt like the heavy pain in my chest disappeared.

"Lita! Nandito na sila?!" I stopped when I heard another woman's voice and my heart beat started beating so fast it's like my heart is telling me that voice is my mother.

"Opo madam! Ang gandang bata ng panganay niyo ho!" Manang Lita said.

I was sitting on the couch and looking around when Tina stood up. "Ma! Na-miss kita sobra!" My eyes widened.

"Na-miss din kita at palagi kitang pinagdadasal na sana okay ka lang doon sa pinas." When I heard her voice it's like an instant comforter to me. Her voice was soft. Para akong hinehele ng boses niya.

"Salamat, ma. At oo nga pala, si Ate Eli." Sabi ni Tina at agad akong tumayo at humarap sakanya.

When she saw me tears started forming in the corner of her eyes and she touched my face. "Ikaw na ba talaga 'yan? Anak? Ang panganay ko...sawakas." She immediately hugged me and I saw Tina wiping her tears.

I hugged her back. "Ma..." I said.

I started sobbing hard, and I hugged her tightly. So, this is what a mother's love feels like? I want to experience it and feel it forever.

"Patawadin mo ako.... sa lahat-lahat." Mama said while crying.

"No, it's fine... Tina told me everything. And I understand and I know you don't have a choice and life was hard for you. It's not your fault." I said.

"Mas masarap pala talaga madinig 'yan kapag galing sa'yo mismo. Mahal na mahal kita anak ko..." She said and her words felt like all the pain in my heart disappeared.

"I love you too, ma." I said.

I heard multiple footsteps. "Mama! Si Aaron oh! Tigilan mo na nga ako!" A girl said while running and behind her was a boy who's laughing.

"Pst!

"Ate..."

"I'm sorry, I'm late. I immediately got off of work when I heard that they're home." A man said and I frowned and Mama smiled at me.

"Hon, this is Eli. My first-born daughter." Mama said and the man looked at me and smiled.

He handed me his hand. "Nice to finally meet you. You look exactly like your mother." He said and I chuckled.

"Thank you." I said.

"You can call me Tito or Dad or just anything you're comfortable with." He said.

My real dad turned his back on his responsibility toward me, and my adopted dad ruined my life. Is this finally the time I'm going to experience the love of a father?

"I'll call you Dad." I said and he smiled widely.

"Welcome home, Eli." He said and opened his arms signaling me to hug him so I did.

We ate dinner together, and I've never felt so happy in my entire life, and I can finally say that I'm home.

This is where I belong.
