Chapter XV

Julie woke up, feeling her fur being stroked. It felt pretty nice and was unusual. Opening her eyes, she felt the pets immediately stop as she looked up to see Heatwave was wide awake, but avoiding looking at her.

"Can you please get off?" Heatwave groaned. Julie merely rolled her eyes as she hopped off of him, and saw the other bots were wide awake looking at her.

"How are you feeling Clara? Did you sleep well?" Boulder asked as he walked over to her.

Julie shifted back into herself, stretching her arms out and nodding. "Yes, I slept quite well. I feel great. I could easily take flight for the day and still wouldn't be tired come nightfall." She replied, before feeling another sneeze. Recognizing the motion, Heatwave quickly jumped and grabbed her, falling forward on the floor with her secure in his servo. "I'm...I'm fine...Heatwave." Julie replied between sneezes, before rolling her eyes. Once she was done, he let her go, before quickly standing up like nothing had happened.

Feeling pretty jumpy, she shifted into a leopard, much smaller than what she was the night before, her tail twitching in excitement as she ran for the tunnels just as the Burns came out of the elevator.

"Where's Clara going?" Dani asked.

Clara merely yowled in response before running into the tunnel.

"Let's go find out." Cody commented as he ran over to her in the tunnel where she stood waiting. Taking the invitation, Cody climbed onto her back, grabbing hold of her shoulders just as Julie took off running down the tunnel, following them to the woods she knew they led to. Julie could hear the autobots in their alt modes, entering the tunnels, poor Blades who couldn't fly down there though, as Julie looked back to see Heatwave taking the lead.

'He sure has been hanging around me lately.' Julie thought as she ran down the tunnel, smelling the fresh air up ahead.

Once she came upon the trees, she jumped out of the way for the others as they pulled up on the cliff that she had been staying at back when she first showed up in Griffin Rock.

"Hey, I remember this cliff." Cody cried as he hopped off of her, and walked over to the ledge, but Julie quickly grabbed his shirt to pull him away from the ledge.

"What is so important about this cliff?" Heatwave asked as he transformed into his bipedal mode.

"I think it's kind of pretty." Boulder commented.

"Of course you'd think that." Kade groaned. "I wanted to go eat breakfast, not come out here."

Julie merely growled, as she turned and faced him, before sneezing right there in front of them. Midway through the sneezes, Heatwave quickly grabbed her and held her in his servo, obviously worried, though he tried his hardest not to show it.

"I think someone is still recovering." Chief Burns commented. "Though it seems her powers aren't acting up like they used to. Must be a good sign."

Julie smirked at the comment as she sneezed again, that time intentionally vanishing, getting their attention, before reappearing right behind Kade. As she did, she grabbed him and threw him up into the air above them with ease, shifting into a griffin and flying right up for the panicked boy.

"Clara, you're crazy. Put me down!" Kade yelled as he held onto her, his legs right behind her wings as she flew up into the air.

Julie merely roared in response as she flew up a little higher before diving down toward the trees, dodging and weaving between them. As I did, Kade raised his hands up above him and shouted out for joy.

"Yahoo! Faster Clara!" Kade cried out. Julie merely just smirked and started barrel rolling, her wings tucked over his legs as he held onto her. Julie landed right in front of the others, with Kade on her back shouting for joy.
