Chapter 16

I just came up with an idea so in this story Aether hasn t been to Dragonspine yet , nither Mondstadt, ik it doesn t make much sens but you ll get it , i hope , bc idk

Aether s pov:

* i woke up , still peacefully laying in Xiao s arms who literally fell asleep standing just so he wouldn t wake me up , i didn t wanted to wake him up either so i just let him be , carefully placing him in a more comfortable position to sleep

* i remembered what i told him last night... he probably tought that it was his fault for not beeing here for me or something, but i didn t mean to make him think that , i just... couldn t keep my toughts in place anymore , but thankfully he was understanding...

* then i realized... 'w-wait... the dream... i- i didn t dream it again last night...; but that doesn t make sens... i ve had that dream for more then a month or even more maybe , how is this possible..?'

* 'i should make som-'

* a sharp pain hit me and i fell to the ground , ending up in... a mountain...? Wait no... i was dreaming... this wasn t real , b-but why didn t i see this while i was asleep... and why am i on a mountain... ; i started to hear someone calling my name silently "Aether....." then the sound slowly became louder and louder "Aether"
"Aether!"
"AETHERR!!"
it was... "Lumine....?!" I asked in my dream hearing her voice getting into my head , "Lumine... where are you..??" I asked again not knowing what else to say ; she answered silently again "find me Aether..." ; her voice was way scarier then the last time i heard her voice , but i could clearly tell that it was her and not The Unknown God

* i suddenly woke up as Xiao was looking at me worriedly as he left a sigh of relief when he saw i woke up

* "Ather! Are you alright...? I woke up when i heard a noise and when i looked ,i saw you laying on the ground , what happend??" he said calming himself down a little

* "i... i saw Lumine.... it felt like something hit my head and i woke up in a mountain, but it was a dream , it wasn t like the ones i usually had , in fact... i haven t dreamed anything last night until now..."

* "and what happend in the dream..?" Xiao said looking concerned

* "i didn t see her , but i could hear her voice , she told me to find her but when i asked where she was , she didn t said anything and the dream ended.."

* "so you think she might be in the mountains?" He continued
"

I don t know... maybe.. but we are not ready to go in the mountains since your still recovering and we have to get some winter clothes because the mountain was freezing just by the look of it... and im pretty sure it s the only mountain around here..."

* "Aether... im fine , really, you can t miss the chance to find your sister because of me , im feeling better alredy and it s not that bad"

* "O-ok... but let s get some clothes for cold weather first..." i said , agreeing with him more or less

* "Just get some for you , i can handle the cold well , don t worry about me , and i ll be right beside you , no matter what happends" , even if he said that,  i was still worried but i decided not to try anymore since i knew he wouldn t agree anyways

* since we were already pretty close to the mountains we continued our way hoping to find somwhere to find what we wanted

* on our way , we found an abandoned small adventurer camp where we were hoping to find somthing but no luck..

* so we just went on the mountain with what we already had on us

* some time later , the sky was starting to get darker and the weather was more and more colder , but i ve been trough worst

* we were moving fast so we were half up the mountain by now, Xiao said we should camp here for the night since we just beat some Fatui and the camp was already warm from the fire that the Fatui took care of

* even tho i was tired , i wanted to continue, i knew that Xiao would ve done so aswell if he wasn't injured but for his sake and my worryes i agreed and we set camp close by along with a camp fire to keep us warm since i knew that we were both cold even if Xiao wasn t really showing it

* after we ate something,  Xiao was redy to go to sleep and i told him that i would go to sleep aswell but i just let him sleep as i couldn t fall asleep because of my mind that couldn t stop making me think of the worst that could ve happend to Lumine

* it wasn t long until the morning came and i barely got any sleep , Xiao didn t looked too good either , i checked on his wound and at least it was healing well and was almost gone , 'guess he just didn t sleep too well either...'

* we continued our way up the mountain (where i saw Lumine in my dream) , the weather was getting colder, and nither me or Xiao had even a coat to keep one of us warm

* after a long long way , we finally got on top of the mountain , the view was so... beautiful, it might ve been cold but i could tell that it was worth it , i barely ever so a view this beautiful
(I personally love Dragonspine for some reason so i added this , bc why not)

* Xiao tapped my shoulder for a moment , and said "Aether... i think we found your sister..."

Done with this chapter too , sorry it s so short , im planing a much longer one for the next chapter , also be redy for some angst in the next chapters , i hope you like angst ^^
