Shikamaru is still flat on his back groaning as he sends a glare up towards his grinning comrade. 'Naruto, you jerk.'
Then, something unexpected happens, thousands of trash are thrown at the Nara boy.
Followed by loud boos, Shikamaru frowned even more when he got hit on the forehead by a crumpled paper. 'They don't care about this match, I'm just the warm up for the main event. All they care about is watching Sasuke. Listen to them, the jerks. Well, if that's the way they're gonna be; maybe I won't give them a match at all. Why knock myself out for them?'
Temari slams her fan loudly to get his attention. "What is it? You planning on giving up too?"
'And to top it off, my opponent's a girl, again.' He tilts his head back to scrutinize his opponent, seeing her upside down smug face.
Asuma has a strained smile. 'Well, he never was very driven but this?'
Up on the balcony, Naruto impatiently hops on one foot and the other. "Come on, come on! Get up and fight!" Next, he cups his mouth. "Get it together Shikamaru! You're gonna get going sometime this year?!"

Haku sends her a sympathetic glance.
Temari scrunches her own brows and exclaims, "Well, if you won't move, I will." Taking a head start, she sprints off to the boy.
"Hey, I didn't start the match yet." Genma lamely tried to stop her.
Reaching into his weapon pouch, "I forgot, this girl's a spunky one. I hate spunky." He grabs out two kunais.
Just as the kunoichi leaps up, she swings her fan with a battle cry while he speedily brings up his kunai knives. A large dust cloud covers the two causing Naruto to gasp. The song bird leans on the railing with an anticipated smile. When the dust clears, only Temari is present.
Her dark blue-green pupils shrink down. "Huh?!" She found him leaning against the wall above her with a smirk.
"It really doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me whether I ever become a Chunin or not, but I guess maybe I shouldn't let myself get beaten by a female. So, let's do it."
Temari narrows her eyes with a growl and swings her fan again with a yell. Naruto gasps again when her attack goes directly to Shikamaru. After the dust clears up, the only thing she saw were two of his kunai pierced in the wall.
'He's quick when it comes to running away.' Temari thought as she smirks at where her opponent's hiding.
Shikamaru kept his eyes on her from behind a tree. 'I know it's not very classy for a guy to clobber a girl, but whoever said I was classy?'
