Carls Pov:

The sick people still alive in the prison have been getting better in the last day, Sasha and glen are on their feet again. Harlow spent all of yesterday digging Andy's grave as his mother was too distraught to do it. I tried to help her dig but Harlow refused saying she needed to do it on her own.

Now me and Harlow are just sitting in our watchtower in silence she's reading and I'm drawing. My sketch is of Harlow when she was practicing her bow. I often end up drawing Harlow and I'm not sure why perhaps I just know her face the best since were always together.

Our peace is disturbed by a loud boom coming from the other side of the prison. "What was that" Harlow asks and I say "better go find out." We both run towards the noise and we find my dad and the rest of the group standing in the courtyard staring at a group of cars and a tank parked outside the fence.

Then none other than the governor comes out a tank and yells to dad "come over here, we need to talk." I have no clue what's going on the governor was supposed to dead but apparently the motherfucker survived though he is missing an eye and has now accumulated a new much smaller army.

"We have a council now I don't run this place" dad shouts back. The governor reply's "was Hershel on the council" as he speaks one of his men pulls out someone from the truck and makes them kneel. Its Hershel. Then the governor opens his stupid mouth again and says "what about Michonne was she on the council to?" my heart sinks as Michonne is pulled out the truck and made to kneel next to Hershel.

Beside me Harlow gasps then angrily yells "fuck you" loud enough for the governor to hear. "Shut your mouth" a man who is sitting on the tank with a rifle shout back and I can tell hallows about to yell at him so I take her hand and whisper "Harlow stop if you anger them then they might take it out on Hershel or Michonne."

That effectively shuts Harlow up and my dad shouts to the governor "I don't make the decisions anymore" and I inwardly cringe that doesn't make him seem very intimidating. "you're making the decisions today rick, come down here and let's have that talk" the governor says.

Dad having no other choice walks down to the fence to talk with the governor. there speaking to quietly for the rest of us to hear anything and Harlow's shaking beside me with fear or anger I don't know but if I had to guess I would say anger. Daryl addresses the group saying "if things go south head for the bus." Then he starts to handing everyone rifles from the bin we keep them in a couple of yards away that he retrieved.

After a while of talking the governor takes Michonne's katana and holds it to Hershel's neck Maggie and Beth panic and Beth starts crying. After a minute of dad saying something, we can't hear the governor swings the katana into Hershel's neck. Beth and Maggie scream as Hershel's head hits the grass and the ground bleeds around him.

Suddenly all hell breaks loose and everyone starts shooting at each other. I'm about to grab Harlow and get us to shelter but I'm to late I turn to see her running off into the fight. I'm about to follow her but I'm stopped when I see a sniper aiming at Maggie's head, by the time I push her out the way Harlow is nowhere to be seen.

Harlow Pov

Michonne rolled away when the fighting started but her hands are tied behind her back and I need to get to her before she's killed. I run away only realising I left carl and Daryl when it's too late to go back so I pray there okay and push forward.

When I get to where Michonne was the area is deserted I can't find Michonne and I begin to panic everything's so loud and I'm terrified of being shot again. "MICHONNE" I scream but can't hear a response I run back into the prison but have to take shelter behind an abandoned car because someone's firing at me.
