Chapter Twenty Seven

Hey there :) So this might not be the most interesting chapter in the world, nor will it be the longest. But things will get interesting again soon! <3 Chapter Twenty Seven- Zeek's POV

I was sleeping peacefully. Was sleeping peacefully. I was woken by someone poking my hip.

"Babe! Wake up!" I heard Austen whisper. I grunted in response and buried my face further into his chest. "Zeek!"

"What?" I finally answered him, my eyes still closed.

"We have to get home before your parents flip." I sighed and sat up, rubbing my eyes.

"How are we getting home? Didn't Jack and Naomi leave already?"

"Gabe and Luke are driving us. They're the ones who woke me up to tell me what time it was. It's almost three in the morning." I yawned and slowly got out of bed.

"Aussie?" I gave him my best pouty face.

"Yes, Zeeky?"

"Will you carry me?" He rolled his eyes, but climbed out of the bed and made his way over to me.

"Just because you're cute." He kissed my lips lightly and scooped me into his arms.

I was going to sleep in the car on the way back home, but I had found something much more entertaining. I was watching the two lovebirds in the front of the car. Gabe was driving while Luke was in the seat beside him. Their hands were clasped tightly together and I couldn't help but notice them sneaking glances at each other. Luke was looking out the window with a bright smile on his face and his free hand brushing across his lips, as if he were remembering a kiss. Gabe was also smiling, and each time we would stop at a red light or a stop sign, he looked over at Luke and smiled even brighter. Occasionally, he would lift their clasped hands and kiss his new boyfriend's knuckles. I couldn't help but wonder if that was how Austen looked at me. We were both in the back seat leaning on each other with our hands locked together. I tried to discreetly look up at Austen, but he noticed immediately. He was already looking at me.

"Hey there." He grinned.

"Hello." I said back with a wide smile. He leaned in and kissed my head.
"You know what I just thought of?" Luke interjected from the front of the car. "We should go on a group date. Me and Gabe, you two, and Naomi and Jack!" I smiled and watched Austen's face.
"That sounds like fun!"
"We'll call you guys later, alright? I have some things planned for the two of us today." Gabe winked at Luke as he pulled the car into my driveway. "And thank you guys so much, seriously. Despite me being an absolute douche to both of you, you helped me do the one thing I was too much of a coward to do myself and I've never been happier."
"Everyone deserves the chance to be happy." I smiled and climbed out of the car, followed by Austen. We waved goodbye to our friends and made our way inside, but we froze when we got through the door. There sitting on the sofa dressed in a fresh business suit, was Austen's mother.
"Hello Austen. Ezekial." I couldn't help but grimace at my full name.
"M-mom?" Austen's eyes were wide and his hand suffocated mine.
"Sit down Darling, I have some things to discuss with the two of you."

Sorry it's short.. I don't have internet. Again. And my phone sucks. But I'm hopefully supposed to be getting internet soon, so it shouldn't be too long before you have a real chapter :) Thanks for reading anyway. And thank you for all the comments and votes, it really means a lot!
