More Than I Love You

Chapter 15- Baby Girl

Everyone is gathered around the pod, after hearing the news that the Chief and his wife are having their baby.

Aonung is stood outside when he hears a babies cry.
He looks at her siblings in shock, "it's happened. Oh my gosh it's happened."

The Tsahìk pops her head out to see Aonung, "you can come in now."
He nods and walks in.

Aonung walks past and sees Taneya laid down holding the baby in her arms.
"Congratulations. It's a baby girl" the Tsahìk says.
"She's beautiful" Aonung says and bends down, next to Taneya.

She looks at him, "we did it."
He nods, and wipes the little tear in the corner of his eye, "you did it."
She smiles at him and leans her fourhead to him.

"What are you going to name her?" The Tsahìk asks.
"There's so many names to choose from" Taneya says.
"I want to stick to my original plan" Aonung says.

She looks at him confused because she does not remember what he wanted to originally name the baby.

"Ninat. We should name her Ninat" Aonung says.
She looks at him, "are you sure that is what you want?"
He nods, "if you are happy with it too."
She smiles and nods.

As everyone is waiting outside, Aonung walks out, with Taneya, who's has a shawl wrapped around her, holding her baby.

Aonung then takes the baby and holds it up for everyone to see.
"Ninat" he calls out to everyone, telling them the name of the baby.

Everyone says her name back and cheers at the excitement of the Chief's daughter.
Taneya look to her siblings, who all look so proud of her.

She smiled weakly, tired as she just gave birth.

Taneya is asleep in her pod, as Aonung had let her rest after she had just been through a hard hour and 30 minutes giving birth to this baby.

Aonung was in another pod, with Taneya's siblings, Rotxo, Tsireya, Aromì's son and his own daughter, Ninat.

"She has Taneya's eyes" Rotxo says
"She does. The perfect green colour" Aonung says.

Ninat holds onto Aonung's finger, and giggles as she looks at him.
Aonung looks back at her and smiles.

"So how come you wanted to name her Ninat?" Neteyam asks.
"I wanted to do it in honour of my late mother in law" Aonung replies.

"That is very sweet of you brother" Tsireya says.

Just then, they see a sleepy Taneya walk in.
"I thought I told you to rest" Aonung says.
She nods and slumps down next to him, "I know. But I don't like being alone."

She then looks to her baby and smiles.
Aonung hands over Ninat to Taneya.

Taneya leans herself against Aonung, resting her head on his shoulder with Ninat in her arms.
"She is beautiful. Like you" Aonung says.

"I know you guys are in love and I am happy for you both. But please, not in front of me" Lo'ak says.
Taneya looks to him and laughs, "you and Tsireya are in love too."
He nods, "yes. Yes we are."

Lo'ak sits back and zips his lips.

"Where is Tsekey? I thought he would be here to see his granddaughter?" Aonung asks.
"He has gone back to the forest. He heard the news about the fire people. He's gone to gather the people" Taneya says.

"Is it not dangerous?" Neteyam asks, "he only has one life left."
"He is a strong man. I have faith that he will be fine" Taneya says.

Taneya and Aonung are back in their own pod. After putting Ninat to sleep, they both lay down next to each other.

"We can finally sleep properly again" Taneya says and moves herself close to Aonung.
"Yes we can sleep well together. And a lot of other things" Aonung replies and smirks.

"Aonung. We just had a baby" Taneya laughs.
"And I want to make so many more with you. Have one big happy family" Aonung says.
"Well, I do too. But not now" Taneya says. 

He's kissed her fourhead and she smiles at him.
But her smile has slowly faded.
"What's wrong my love?" Aonung asks.
"I am scared for her Aonung. She is already born and we aren't that far away from a war yet" Taneya replies.

"We will not let them step on this land. You know that" Aonung says.
She nods, "I know. But I am scared we've only just had her. And now she's been bought into a world like this."

"A world where her mother and father do nothing other than protect her. She'll love it Taneya. I promise" Aonung says. Taneya nods and smiles.

"You look very tired. You should sleep" Aonung says.
Taneya lays her head onto his chest, with her arm and leg wrapped around him.
He smiles and kisses her fourhead again, "Goodnight my Taneya."

"Goodnight my Aonung" Taneya replies in her sleepy voice.
Aonung puts his arm around her and they both fall asleep.

It's the next day.
Taneya and Aonung wake up as they hear people talking very loudly.

"What's going on?" Taneya rubs her eyes and sits up.
"Your father. He must be back with the forest people.

Aonung gets up.
"You walk out. I will be there soon" Taneya says as she goes to check on Ninat.
He nods and walks out.

As Aonung walks out, he sees a lot of people from the forest. More than what he expected.

"Oh Aonung son" Tsekey walks to him. 
"Father" Aonung nods his head at Tsekey.

He then sees Jake and Neytiri walk forward.
"How are you?" They ask.
"We are good" Aonung says.

"Where is Taneya?" Neytiri asks.
"She will be out in a moment. With Ninat" Aonung replies.

Neytiri, Jake and Tsekey look at each other confused.
"Ninat?" Tsekey asks.
They then see Taneya walking from behind Aonung. Holding her baby in her hand.

Neytiri gasps, and smiles, seeing that her daughter is now grown up, holding her own daughter in her arms.

"Oh daughter" Tsekey gets teary as he walks to her.
"Father. You're back" Taneya says.
He looks to the baby.
"She looks just like her" Tsekey says, referring to Taneya's mother, Ninat.

She nods, and then looks to Aonung, "it was his idea to name her after mother."
She then looks to Neytiri and Jake.

"May I?" Tsekey asks, as he holds his arms out to hold the baby.
Taneya nods and gives the baby to her father.

Neytiri then comes to hug her.
"I have missed you so much" she says.
"I have missed you too mother" Taneya replies.

She looks to Aonung and pulls him in for a hug too.

Tsekey walks to Jake with Ninat in his arms.
"Isn't she beautiful?" Tsekey says.
"Yeah, she is" Jake replies.

He then looks to Taneya.
She looks at Jake and sees the worry in his face.

She nods, as an indication of him to speak.

"The fire people. They have reached the south of the Pandoran ocean. They are nearby" Jake announces.
