September 16, 2022

The last week had been a bit rough for Victoria, so her friend decided to have a little party to cheer her up. As it was Friday, her friends could stay in her room much longer. After a lot of blackmail, they managed to get a good number of bottles of alcohol and tobacco.

—What shall we play now?— asked the princess after everyone had run out of ideas on truth or dare.

—The bottle game— exclaimed Maya with a big smile to which they all nodded.

They placed the bottle of gin they had just finished in the centre and spun it around. The first person the bottle pointed at was Valentina, a friend from her ballet classes, who was two years older than Victoria. They all cheered and spun the bottle again, which pointed to Andrew, which upset the young princess a little as she quite liked the boy. The Australian looked at her to make sure she was okay to which she smiled. Maya was the only one who knew she liked him and so she planned to stay for a while.

After playing many rounds the bottle finally pointed to Victoria and Andrew. Everyone clapped and looked at them expectantly as the boy stood up to go to the princess, who had been a little sceptical about the kisses, and kissed them on the cheeks. Andrew placed his hands on either side of his friend's face to look down at her lips and bring them together with his own in a small kiss, which felt like glory to them both. Everyone looked at them in surprise with a big smile on their faces. They had witnessed the first kiss of the future queen.

A while later they decided to have one last round, but whichever couple was to play had to lock themselves in the bathroom for five minutes. First up were Bella and Maya, who came out laughing at some silly thing either of them had said.

Valentina and Mateo, unlike their companions, came out rather blushing, which caused everyone to murmur and laugh. Finally only Victoria and Andrew were left, who went to the bathroom reluctantly —What do we do now?— asked the princess when the door closed.

—About the kiss...— the boy tried to justify himself, but she stopped him.

—It's just a game, don't worry— answered Victoria, which caused him to duck his head.

—I liked the kiss... I like you— whispered Andrew approaching her who was leaning against the wall next to the door, surprised by his words.

—I like you too— confessed Victoria very embarrassed, ducking her head too, when suddenly she felt how your chin was grabbed delicately to lift it and join her lips with Andrew's. And this time it was a much longer kiss than the previous one.

—Time's up, lovebirds— Valentina shouted from the doorway to which they both blushed.

—Did you kiss?— asked Maya for the fifth time as they all went to their rooms.

—Stop it Maya— laughed the princess turning around on the bed to face the wall.

—Is that a yes?— she said with a mischievous grin.

—Yes Maya, we kissed. Stop it— says Victoria trying to be serious but she has a big smile on her face as she remembers that moment.

—I knew it— she shouted clapping her hands together making the chestnut roll her eyes and go back to her previous position to fall asleep.

The next day everyone was quite hung over, so they decided to stay in their rooms for as long as possible. Inevitably Andrew and Victoria had to see each other again in their voluntary work in a nursing home.

—Can I have a talk?— he asked approaching the princess who was in the back of the mini bus talking to some girls.

—Tell me— she said as they moved to a seat further away.

—About yesterday— said Andrew shyly, not sure how to continue.

—It was silly. We were drunk and it just happened. Don't worry about it— Victoria said with a half smile, leaving the teenager looking astonished in his seat. For him it hadn't been silly, he really liked her and it hurt him deeply that she didn't feel the same way.

The future queen felt very bad after having said that to her friend, but she felt it was for the best. Those days were quite complicated, and she thought she was confusing her emotions, so she preferred to leave things as they were. Having a boyfriend was not something that was expected of her at that time. She just had to concentrate on her studies, as her parents had told her.

Andrew decided not to give up. When dinner was over and everyone headed to their rooms, he decided to go to the princess's room. He knocked on the wooden door after sighing a couple of times, not really knowing what to do or say. Her best friend opened the door and smiled at the sight of the boy.

—Your lover is here— Maya half shouted, which made the Englishman laugh.

—Andrew— said the teenage girl, appearing in his field of vision.

—We need to talk— he replied quickly, which caused Victoria to sigh.

—I'm getting my things ready to leave tomorrow— she said as an excuse since she had everything ready.

—I know, that's why I need to tell you now. Otherwise I'll regret it all my life— he confessed, trying to look serious as he played with his fingers.

—All right— the girl agreed, sitting down on the bed and making room for her friend.

—I know that yesterday wasn't silly, at least not for me. I really like you Victoria. Yesterday's kisses were incredible... and I would like to repeat it —Andrew said sincerely and in the girl's stomach butterflies fluttered non-stop but before she could answer Rob interrupted at her door.

—Your Royal Highness, we have to go now— informed the man.

—Will you give me time to think?— asked Victoria.

—As much as you need— said the boy a little disappointed. —Thank you— she gave him a kiss on the cheek to leave with Rob who was carrying his small purple suitcase.
