That morning everyone was wearing black. Victoria knew that this was going to be a very hard time for her and her whole family, which made her feel very overwhelmed. She looked at herself in the mirror flattening her black dress with her hands and sighed with tears in her eyes.

—Kika, sweetheart— called her father from the door —Are you ready?— he asked with a sad smile as he saw her blue eyes crystallize.

—I'm missing my shoes— answered her first born, grabbing her shoes from the floor to sit on a small sofa under the window to put them on better.

—Goodbye Lou Lou. We'll be back sooner than you think— said her older sister with a big hug. Despite the 10-year difference, they were the best of siblings. They both loved being together and always had a great time.

—Promise?— muttered the little boy, making a pout.

—I promise— she replied, holding up her little finger, making Louis laugh and intertwine it with his.

As they entered the church the teenager could feel a shiver run down her spine which made her shiver. She looked around and recognised the people with serious faces staring at the ground.

The women wore black dresses with headdresses. While the men were in their military uniform or, failing that, a black suit. And at that moment he thought about what his funeral would be like. —Probably similar to this one— she thought.

—Vicky— her sister snapped her out of her trance.

—Mmm— she murmured, looking down.

—Do you want to hold my hand?— she asked so tenderly that the teenager had to nod and clasp her small hands in hers. When they entered the church, Victoria could see Louise and her face lit up. They had always got along so well that she knew she could tell her anything. She was just waiting for the funeral to be over so she could talk to her about Andrew. She was the only one she could count on, as there was no way she could tell the rest of the family.

The whole service was so emotional that she had to hold back her tears a couple of times. She still couldn't believe that her great-grandmother was dead, she wanted it all to be a dream and that the next day they were going to have tea and chat. But being there became very real and her mind was a movie of memories that seemed to go on forever.

Louise, James and Victoria were sitting on a sofa in a large room where the closest family members were sitting.

—Louise— called the princess —Can we talk?— she asked cautiously.

—Of course— she said, turning her full attention to her.

—In private— replied the chestnut, rising from her seat to go to one of the empty rooms of the great palace. Her cousin followed her, intrigued, while Peter remained on the sofa rolling his eyes.

—You're worrying me Vic— said the blonde, sitting down in one of the baroque style chairs.

—On Friday, my friends and I decided to play the bottle game— the teenager began, not sure if she wanted to continue. —Promise me you won't say anything to your parents, let alone mine— she said seriously, making her cousin even more worried than she already was.

—What's so important?— she asked anxiously.

—In short, we were very drunk and I kissed a boy. I thought it was because of the effects of alcohol, but yesterday, before I left, he told me that he liked me— said Victoria quickly, feeling relieved to be able to tell someone.

—And do you like it?— she asked with a mischievous face that made the princess turn as red as a tomato.

—Yes— she confessed in a whisper.

—Then go get him. You two like each other. I don't see any problem— said Louise with a shrug and a big smile on her face.

—The problem is my parents, they would never let me have a boyfriend now— she sighed, sitting dramatically next to the blonde.

—Well, I'm sure if you explain it to them they'll let you— she said which made the future queen burst out laughing.

—They won't, Louise, and you know it. They'll ask me to stay away from him— she complained.

Sophie was looking for her daughter and her nephew's daughter in every room until she found the one they were in. She was about to interrupt their conversation, but something caught her attention and she decided to eavesdrop.

—Victoria, darling— she spoke when she felt she had had enough —Your parents are looking for you— she added with a smile.

—Are you looking for me?— asked the young princess, standing in front of her parents.

—We have to go now, darling— answered her mother —The aunt and uncle will take you to Isabel's School— her father completed.

—It's all right— she said a little disappointed as she thought they would be taking her. Because of these things, the thought that her parents didn't love her became even stronger.

The ride to the boarding school was fairly uneventful as they joked around most of the time.

Victoria knew that her return to boarding school was going to be hard. She had Andrew waiting for an answer, which she couldn't answer and all new responsibilities waiting for her behind the door. She didn't know how she was going to cope with her new world, she just hoped she would do well and make everyone proud.

When they got to the room Maya greeted her with a cigarette in her mouth which caused her to giggle and she lit another one too and so it was dinner time. They talked about many things but the most extensive topic was the couple. But Victoria still had no idea what to do. She felt she had to talk to her parents about it, but she thought they would be angry and force her to stay away from him.
