Kate got up early to go to her sister's house. She had a feeling that things were going to get tense, so she was very worried, the last thing she wanted was to provoke another fight.

—Call me when you get there— said William, pressing a small kiss to his wife's lips, who nodded with a small smile. The man was also very worried, although he was much better (than she was) at keeping his feelings to himself. He just wanted to be able to go back in time and make things better with Kika.

The woman got out of the car but not before taking a couple of deep breaths —Hi—she greeted with a smile when she saw her sister at the door. They gave each other a hug trying to calm down, but it was impossible.

—Where is she?— asked Kate when she entered the house and saw no sign of her daughter.

—She's still asleep. Yesterday was quite a day— Pippa replied with a sad smile. The duchess nodded and went upstairs to the room where she was staying. She needed to see her, even if she was asleep.

Catherine sat on the edge of the bed and began to stroke her legs as she watched her with teary eyes as she remembered being a baby and sleeping on her chest. She thought she should have enjoyed those moments more, instead of reading what the rest of the world thought about her or her daughter.

—Mum— Victoria said with a start. She hadn't expected to see her mother there, though she wasn't surprised either after the events of the night before.

—Good morning, would you like some breakfast?— Kate asked with a smile. The young princess nodded her head a little confused as to why her mother wasn't upset.

In the blink of an eye the three girls were at a small circular table eating lunch and waiting for one of them to start the conversation. Victoria was nervous. All her secrets were going to be revealed today.—Do you want to start?— Kate asked her daughter, hoping for an explanation for everything. The teenager sighed and remembered that she had to face all her problems, that's what a good leader would do.

—What Auntie has been hiding from you all this time...— Victoria began and Kate could feel her heart racing faster and faster —She caught me smoking at Grandma and Grandpa's house— she confessed quickly trying not to let her mother hear, but she did. The Duchess was stunned. She looked at her sister to confirm that her ears were fine and only got a nod.

—What? Why? Since when?— she asked tearfully. She would never have expected such a thing. Not from her little girl.

—Since last year— she answered, ducking her head. Her mother was going to kill her.

—Why are you doing this? Are you doing this for me?— she said with tears already running freely down her face.

Victoria felt very guilty seeing her mother like this. She knew she was to blame for some of her problems, but she was her mother and it hurt her to see her bad.

—No— she lied, causing the duchess to calm down a little.

—Why do you do it?— she asked, trying to be calm and listen to everything she had to say, as her sister had recommended.

—It's not just for you. It's much more complex— Victoria replied a little louder than she had intended, which caused Pippa to pat her on the muscle to calm her down.

—Tell me about these things Vic. You never tell me your problems any more so I can't help you— the woman tried to reason but the teenager shook her head.

—I don't tell you things because you'll get angry and you'll forbid me— Victoria confessed.

—Of course I'm going to forbid you to smoke. You're 14, not 30— she said sternly, making the teenager nod. She wasn't going to disagree with her on that, but she wasn't going to stop, it made her feel good. She put on her best sorry face and promised not to do it again.
