Kate and William waited anxiously for the clock to strike midnight, to officially usher in their firstborn's fifteenth birthday. The woman felt tears forming in her eyes with each passing minute. She couldn't believe her daughter was turning 15.

They opened the door to her room where the teenager was fast asleep. They looked at her for a few minutes and couldn't help but be stunned, their little girl looked like an angel.

—Happy birthday sweetheart— said Kate giving her a kiss on the cheek noticing how her tears were rolling down her face.

She remembered the moment when she first held her in her arms and the millions of feelings she had. On the one hand she was so afraid since she didn't know how to be a mother, but she also knew that she loved this little girl with all her heart, but she didn't have the slightest idea how to show it.

—Happy birthday— William kissed her on the forehead. Although he was much better at hiding his feelings than his wife, he also had a wave of emotions inside him.

They left their room to let her rest as they were both sobbing at that point.

—It's amazing to think it's been 15 years— said the woman wiping the tears from her eyes, before turning off the lights to go to sleep. It was going to be a long day.

Victoria woke up to the sound of people wandering around her house making preparations for her party. She could also hear the little murmurs of her siblings at the door waiting for their parents to signal them to come in.

—Happy birthday!— shouted the five of them, opening the door. George, Charlotte and Louis jumped onto their older sister's bed while Kate held a pumpkin cake, which was her favourite, with some 15 candles decorating it.

—Make a wish— she said, bringing the cake closer so that she could blow out the candles. The teenager took a deep breath before making a wish and blowing out the candles. All five clapped and she felt she couldn't be happier.

It was her day, so she was getting all the love and affection from her family, which didn't happen very often, which is why her birthday was her favourite day.

After breakfast, the teenager went back to her room to get ready for the day. She chose to wear a white jumpsuit, with a small opening at the waist where a bit of her skin showed through. She decided to braid two braids at the beginning of her hair, to give it a little more grace.

—Mum— she called from the stairs as she saw her giving directions to one of the workers on how to place the flowers.

—You look very pretty— she said with a big smile at the sight of her.

—Can I do my make-up?— she asked, making her best puppy face. Her parents didn't like it too much when she wore make-up, as they thought she was too little.

—I guess you're old enough now— she said making a big smile appear on the teenager's face.

—Thank you. I love you— she gave her a big hug making her giggle.

—Nothing too over the top— her mother warned her, to which she readily agreed.

Kate helped her put on her make-up and gave her some of her own make-up products.

—Who's talking to you so much?— asked the Duchess, as her daughter's iPhone kept ringing.

—It's just Andrew. He doesn't know what to wear— she replied with a little laugh. I knew he was very nervous about meeting his family, especially his father, since he had told how angry he was.
