"You did what!?"

"Made sure you were safe? Ensured you would not get tangled up in some hunter wannabes trap? Care for me to go on? Or would you like to talk about how you lied about feeling sick the past few days?" David watched as you shrunk into the couch.

Your face drained at the mention of the little lie you had spun. It didn't take long for them to show back up and let you know that they knew what was going on. Paul- the more synpathetic of the bunch, threw his arm around your shoulders and dramatically exclaimed, "For christ sakes Davy leave the girl alone already, we've all been there, man!"

The "help," he was trying to give did nothing to stub out the heavy atmosphere swirling around the warm hued cave. Since they had came back so early- earlier than you anticipated, they had been noticeably weird with you. It hadn't been until you asked David why he looked so grumpy that the rain came pouring. It was made clear that the "Jig," was up, not that you would have been ready to tell them about Alan.

Whatever... you two were. You imagined it wouldn't have mattered in their eyes.

You couldn't look at David anymore and you were quick to shrug off Paul's comforting arm. You knew your brothers were just trying to look out for you but it seemed that every time you talked to someone they were on your case.

Being the "youngest," addition came with protections that definitely felt like they were too much- especially now that you had fed. You were not just one of them. You were now part of them.

You had made the final step to be part of this family. Despite the suddeness of it, you had grown close to boys all before it had happened which in turn helped you warm up to the idea. After all, they had been the only kind of normalcy in your life after the car accident that killed your parents.

Yet, you still couldn't help but feel frustrated with just how much they tried to keep you away from others. The boys were amazing but you couldn't help but want to pursue a connection with someone you felt happy to be around other than them.

"Thanks Paul. At least someone understands." Before you could run off to your space in the cave, Marko sat you straight back down on the confines of the couch.

Marko sat right next to you and you prepared yourself for it.

"Don't be like that. It's only natural that we're curious." He explained as if he hadn't joined Paul in exaggerating to the group.

"Although David is right. Those two definitely are more perseptive to the supernatural." Dwayne murmured with firm stare.

"They sell comics with fictional characters and monsters. How is that proof that they are.. aware?" You challenged with a sight scoff.

Marko leaned on the arm rest as David looked to Dwayne.

From the occasional eye contact, you figured they were doing it again. Communicating without including you. Like they knew something you didn't.

"Well?"

"When we talked to your little friend, through a little digging around-" Dwayne admitted.

"We could hear his accertations. Him and the other one he works with- possibly brothers. No easy way to put this but, their parents used to be Vampire hunters."

"It means." David stood. Approaching slowly before crouching in front of you. "That they know what to look for."

"We are good at hid-" A stern gaze warned you.

David continued as you sank further into the couch.

"If you continue to see him, he will figure out what you are."
