Kyo ran through the forest cursing under his breath, not caring where he ran.
He avoided the branches of trees, bushes, and rocks.
He didn't care if he got cuts and bruises, he just wanted to get away from the house as far as possible.
Why? He thought. Why did that damn rat have to get her before i did?!
Hatred filled his gaze and he kept running.
His legs were screaming in pain, so he chose to stop.
Chest heaving for air, he found a spot to rest. He sat on the back side of a nearby house.
His bare feet covered with scratches and blood. Same as his arms.
Kyo bit back tears and yelled out, not caring if anyone else heard him.
"Why?!" He yelled. "WHY?!"
Kyo pounded his fist against the wall of the house in rage. Suddenly, he stopped pounding. He heard footsteps coming around the house.
Kyo tensed and grabbed a nearby branch for a weapon.
The person rounded the corner, and Kyo lifted the branch ready to defend himself.
"Shit, wait!"
He stopped midway and saw Uo holding up her hands in defeat.
Kyo dropped the branch, confused.
"Uo?" His voice croaked.
She looked as confused as him. "Kyo?"
