“Yes,” I said. Jace looked at me shocked.

“Did you, did you just say yes?” He stuttered. I grabbed his head in my hands and kissed him.

“I’m going to take that as a yes,” he smiled. I nodded and kissed him again.

“We should go tell your parents,” Jace mumbled, not breaking away. I nodded. Then started to laugh.

“What?” He asked.

“How do you think my dad is going to handle this?" I asked.

"Not well," Jace said, gulping.

"Maybe we should get Ryder to tell him. He's not afraid of him." I teased.

"Hey, he's never had your dad threatening to shot him!" Jace defended.

"Poor baby," I said, kissing him again. I have to make up for last time!

Jace hopped off the railing and grabbed my hand. He lifted me off the railing and stood over me, our bodies pressed together as I leaned back on the railing. He still stood a foot over my head even though I grew two inches since we last saw each other. He took the ring from my hand and knelt down on one knee and put it my finger. I couldn't stop the stupid school girl grin that formed on my face.

“Shall we go face the firing squad?” He asked.

I ran to my car and followed him back to my house. I could see Dad peering out the window in confusion. I hoped out, waved at him, laced my arm through Jace’s, and drug my fiancé into the house.

Dad and Emma sat in the living room watching T.V. They both looked confused as to why Jace was back.

“Hey Emma,” I waved at her happily. Her eyes locked on the band of the ring following my hand back and forth. She screeched and jumped up. She grabbed my hand and stared at the ring on my finger. She screamed again.

“Are you serious?” She shouted, looking from Jace to me. I nodded, that stupid smile still plastered on my face. She wrapped her arms around both Jace and jumped up and down screaming. I couldn’t help it; I started jumping and screaming too. Mom came rushing down the stairs; Jack was wrapped around her neck.

“What are you two screaming about?” She shouted. Jack’s eyes darted from me to Emma to Jace’s arm wrapped around my waist, and he glared at Jace.

I held up my hand. Mom looked at the ring and at Jace. She too began to shriek and jump. Jack scrambled away and climbed up Dad.

“What’s going on?” He shouted over us.

“That’s what I would like to know,” Dad growled. Oh crap.

“Chief, Mr. James, I asked Izzy to marry me.” Jace said. I was surprised at how confident he was.

Dad frowned then, to my utter shock, smiled. “It’s about time, boy.”

Jack shoved away from Dad and scurried over to Jace. He yanked on his pants. Jace squatted down.

"Yes,” He asked.

“She’s,” He pointed at me dramatically, “my mom.”

“Can’t you share her?” Jace asked. Jack got a contemplating face on. He reached over and grabbed my shorts. I knelt beside him.

“You like him?” He asked. I couldn’t help but laugh at his seriousness.

“Yes, Jack, I like him a lot.” I answered.

Jack sighed dramatically. He turned back to Jace. “I can share.” I swept him up in a giant bear hug. Jace wrapped his arm around Jack and I. And for this instant I felt as if everything in my life was the way it should it be.
