Izzy's POV

Family reunion day was my most dreaded day of the month. It was Emma's fault that we had to do it every month. She insisted that we stay 'close'. I was perfectly happy with the amount we saw each other. Jack and Emily came over every weekend with their six month old baby, Alaina. It was hard to believe that my little Jack was married now. It was even harder to believe Mr. Dawson left him the company when he died.Technically Jace owned most of it, but Jack ran it. Kali and her fiance Zane had been on vacation in Haiwii so this would be the first time we saw them in two weeks. Kali had graduated college and now working on becoming a police officer. Kendal was working on finishing med school. His girlfriend, Becca, and him were coming today too. A doctor, a police officer, and business man.

"When are they going to be here?" Adam asked. He'd finally started talking a lot more after his forth birthday. Now I wished he'd shut up most of the time.

"Emma said she'd be here around eleven, same with Kendal and Becca. Jack said they'd be here at ten thirty. Kali said eleven, but probably more around eleven thirty." I answered. Adam rolled his eyes and stuck his finger in the chocolate cake mix I was stirring.

"Get your fingers out of there," I scolded, taking some out for myself. He grinned and laughed.

"Is Uncle David coming?" Adam asked.

"Yeah, he said Jayden and Abby would come too," I answered. Adam groaned. He didn't really like Abby very much, but that's only because he lost a bet with Kendal. They bet each other fifty bucks, I don't know where Adam got it, that Kali would end up with Jayden. Kendal said she wouldn't and Adam said she would. He said there was still time, since they weren't married yet, but Kendal insisted the bet was over. I was personally surprised Jayden had a girlfriend. In all my years of knowing David he never once had a girlfriend, that I'd met anyway. In fact I didn't even know Jayden's mom. I sort of figured Jayden would be a lot like David, who was still very much the same old David.

"Where's your dad?" I asked.

"Why would I know?" Adam replied. I raised an eyebrow at him. "I mean, I think he's still sleeping." I groaned and set down the spoon.

"Don't you touch it," I warned, leaving the kitchen.

"Jace," I shouted, marching up the stairs. "Jack and Emily are going to be here and minute you have to get up!"

"Quit shouting I am up," He said, coming out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist.

"About time sleeping beauty," I muttered. He grinned and wrapped me in a hug.

"Jace stop it you're getting me all wet," I complained, pulling away. My shirt was now soaked thanks to him.

"Same old same old huh?" David called from downstairs. I blushed and leaned over the banister.

"Don't you ever knock?" I asked.

"Not in my own house!" He replied. "I see sleeping beauty just woke up," He said, looking at Jace.

"You two just love to gang up on me," Jace muttered.

"Yes we do!" David shouted after him.

"Adam, don't let David eat the cake batter!" I shouted before going into Jace and I's room to get a new shirt.

"You were muttering about limbo last night again," Jace said, slidding a shirt over his head.

"Mhm," I mumbled. I wrote my 'limbo' experience off as the side affects of the anesthetic. That didn't mean I didn't still think about it, even now.
