Hailee is dragging me along to meet her friends. Even though I told her I hate meeting new people especially someone that is important in her life. It makes me really nervous.
"Hailee I don't want to go" I whine as Hailee and I exit our apartment
"Babe you'll be fine" Hailee smiles and opens my car door
"I hate you" I smile at her
"I love you too" she smiles and pecks my lips before closing the door
"What of they don't like me?" I fiddle with my fingers as Hailee gets in the car
"Hey, hey" she places her hands on my cheeks and I meet her gaze "they will love you. You're the most amazing person in the world and they would be crazy not to love you. Okay my love?" Hailee smiles rubbing soft circles on my cheeks
"Okay" I quietly say
"I love you" she whispers planting a soft kiss against my lips
"I love you too" I smile as we part
(Time skip)
Hailee and I enter the restaurant hand in hand as her eyes search for her friends.
"Hailee! Over here" Hailee and I turn around to see several people sitting around a table. Hailee smiles and we make our way over to them.
"Hello weirdos" Hailee smiles giving them all a hug "babe this Jonathan, Layla, Mark and Anna" Hailee points to each of them and we shake hands
"Nice to finally meet you Y/n" Anna expresses as we sit down
"Nice to meet you guys too" I smile
"Y/n what do you do for a living?" Jonathan asks as he sips on a glass of wine
"I own my company" I respond
"Wow dude that's so cool" Mark exclaims "so Hailee you're dating a business woman?" He adds smirking
"Yeah I am" Hailee confirms placing a hand on my thigh
"You know Y/n Hailee doesn't shut up about you" Layla smiles as we make eye contact
"Really?" I asks slightly surprised as I glance over at Hailee to see her cheeks turn a bright shade of pink
"Oh yeah" Jonathan confirms nodding his head
"What does she talk about?" I question
"Yeah no need for details" Hailee cuts in
"Too bad Haiz we'll tell her all about it" Layla teases as they all start laughing
"Tell me" I impatiently say
"Fine go on" Hailee confirms waving her friends off
"It was honestly worse when you guys didn't date. She would not shut up every second she was talking about you . Now it kind of died down since you know you're together" Mark explains as Hailee burries her face in her hands in embarrassment
"Awww that's so cute babe" I express taking Hailees hands off her face so we make eye contact. Her face was so red.
"I hate you all" Hailee says to her friends and they laugh
"Here Y/n we have a video" Mark hands me his phone open to a video
"You have a video?!" Hailee exclaims
"Oh yeah several" Layla laughs
"C'mon Y/n watch it" Mark waves his phone and I take it pressing play on the video.
Video
Hailee is pacing up and down the living room running her hands through her hair as Layla relaxes on the couch.
"So you like her?" Layla questions as Hailee stops and turns to face her with a wide smile on her face
"Yeah I really do" Hailee smiles as her gaze flies to the floor
"Why don't you ask her out?" Lalyla asks leaning forward so her elbows are on her knees
"I-i don't know" Hailee exhales fidgeting with the rings on her fingers "I-i j-just get so nervous around her and I can't even form a sentence" Hailee adds as her smile grows even wider "can I tell you about her?" She asks Layla
"Sure Steinfeld go on" Layla smiles as she leans back on the couch
"She-she I don't know how to explain it. It's like whenever she enters the room my heart skips a beat and-and I get all nervous" Hailee starts to explain taking a seat next to Layla "and her smile, God her smile. I don't think I've ever seen something so beautiful." Hailee expresses running a hand through her hair. "And her hair, her hair is so nice and beautiful and it perfectly matches her eyes" Hailees hazel eyes light up at the thought of the girl "her eyes, oh my God her eyes I-i get so lost in them that I forget where I am or why I'm there" she leans forward placing her head in her hands "everything about her makes me so happy Layla. I think-i think I'm falling in love with her" Hailee smiles
End of the video
By the end of the video a couple of tears ran down my cheeks and a smile tugged on my lips.
"Wow" I let out handing the phone back to Mark. I glance at Hailee who is now so embarrassed
"Yeah wow" She smiles fiddling with a fork that is on the table. I turn to her taking her face in my hands and kissing her lips.
"I love you" I whisper
"I love you too" she whispers against my lips
"That's enough love birds" Layla laughs and we all join her
"What can I get you ladies and gentlemen?" A waiter approaches our table
We all order our food and spend the rest of the night talking about everything. I must admit Hailees friends are so nice I didn't expect this at all. Especially that video I didnt know she was that in love with me, little does she know that I feel the same. I also ranted to my friends about her and there is probably a video, so let's just hope Hailee never sees it.
