I wanted to interject, but I somehow knew it would've been a risky move. I couldn't always be honest with everyone, especially not guys like these who were moderately hypocritical. "What?" Cameron asked, baffled.

"Still don't understand?" the man asked. "Those people with you. They're armed with government items. The item scanner up here also sees government official badges. Now tell me, why are they with you?"

Zephyr, Jack, Will, and I  got a text from Cameron. "Stop texting," the man said. "I know you're a teenager, but still."

The text said: Guys, for your own safety, just roll with it, and if he asks, or if anyone asks later on, just agree with me. Just stick with it.

"What the hell?" I thought. "What is he planning to do?"

"Oh, the U.P is with you guys of all people?" Cameron asked. "Darn, I thought they'd be useful, but now I just know they're spies!"

"What do you mean?" the man looked at us questionably.

"Ah," I thought. "So that's what he's planning to do. Weird idea, and risky for him, probably, but he's doing this for the rest of us I guess."

"Man," Cameron groaned. "They were the most powerful hostages I could get my hands on! I made them come with me or I'd kill them, and I thought I'd get free info about you guys from them, and maybe they'd tell me how to join the U.P."

 "Oh?" the man commented.

 "Yeah," Cameron lied. "Oh."

Cameron was pulling this entire stunt off ridiculously well. "I really thought this would work," Cameron ranted on, taking out his sword. "Maybe I should just kill them off-"

The four of us were startled for a second but I knew it was a bluff. "No!" the man yelled as Cameron stood there and smirked mercilessly. "That's a fighting division sub-leader and a top class technology security manager! And those are their pupils! You can't kill off possibly the best of our youth! They have so much potential, you can't do that! We, the Behemoth Corporation, shall defend them with our lives!"

"Oh, that's more the reason to kill them then," Cameron chuckled.

Now it was Jackson's turn to smirk, and it was contagious, so I smiled too. Little did the Behemoth Corporation know, that top class technology manager disconnected a whole base from the rest of the corporation and shut them down. I was starting to find the entire situation pretty amusing, considering the fact that the bait had been completely taken. I partially couldn't wait to see how the entire thing played out. "Sir," one of the women said. "The east base isn't showing up on the radar."

"What?!" the man gasped, looking at her screen.

Oh, shit. They knew now, but again, the situation was left to Cameron's extremely smooth lying. "That's right," Cameron fibbed again. "That's also where these hostages was factored into the whole thing. I took these hostages and we shut down the organization together after I had been holding blades to their unbelievably defenseless and fragile throats."

"What? And the government didn't see this? This life bribing that you're doing?!" the man demanded. "And you stood there calling yourself a good man with moral rights! Ha, what a joke! You're quite a good liar!"

"Well, yeah," I thought, trying not to snicker. "He's one hell of a liar if you don't believe the truth and end up believing the lies instead. You're fucking ridiculous. Can I beat the shit out of you now? Oh wait, I can't, because then I'll get kicked out into the streets against my family's consent. Great. Fuck the system."
