"Ah, damn!" I shrieked, ducking under an explosive gunshot.

I grabbed Jack's arm and dragged him away with me, and we rolled past an explosion that easily could've ended us. "Take this!" Jack yelled, shooting at our opponents. "Heh, I got one."

"Nice," I said, jumping past another gunshot and punching the other opponent hard in the face. "Hope you enjoyed the steel knuckles. Oh wait, you can't enjoy it because you're knocked out."

I twirled around another fist and punched another guy in the head. "Aw, what a shame!" I yelled, once again landing another punch.

"Skylar, duck!" Jack shouted.

I ducked, and two guys in front of me were immediately stunned. I shoved them out of the way, standing back up and punching down two more guys. "Dude, we just beat up a group of ten guys on our own," I said.

"Hell yeah!" Jack squealed, running over to me and highfiving me. "We're fucking awesome."

"I'm not doing bad for a bronze rank, I think," I laughed.

I turned around, flipping my hair, then spotted another group of ten coming towards us. "Oh dang, I just got a report that Will's team had to retreat from the Cameron clone..." Jack said, sniping a few of the guys.

"Dang, sucks for them," I said. "Were there any casualties?"

"No lives lost, but Will got injured. He'll be fine though," Jack said.

"Ah, okay," I said. "Oh, let's go back to back. We're being surrounded."

"I just realized something, Skylar..." Jack said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Um... we have practically no defensive power unless we use the forcefield system. But you have brass knuckles and I have... a gun," Jack sighed. "So if someone were to shoot us..."

"Then we hopefully dodge it," I reply. "We got a healer with us so I'm sure it'll be all good."

"Okay... hopefully we don't stumble across that Cameron clone," Jack sighed. "Gunshots only slightly weaken him, and... Will keeps going on about how strong that thing is."

"Yeah, it suffocated him in thirty seconds," I said, frowning at my communicator. "I'm pretty worried. I don't have the strength or speed to take it down if it's stronger than fucking Cameron himself."

"Watch out," Jack said, pointing behind me and ducking.

I ducked at the same time Jack did, then turned around and charged towards our opponents. I stepped back for a moment to let a bullet land in front of my foot, then charged forward. Jack tried to catch up, shooting a few shots behind me. "Got all three," Jack laughed.

I blocked a few hits from some enemies, then punched. One grabbed my arm, so I turned around and shoved him away. "Fuck!" I squeaked as another guy grabbed both of my arms.

Jack shot twice, and the grip on my arms were released. I punched a few more guys. "When is this going to end?" I asked, punching another guy in the face.

"No idea," Jack replied, shooting behind him.

He turned around and laughed. "Wow, I wasn't even looking."

"Nice," I said, knocking out some more guys. "This is some really good training. This should be done more often."

"You're hilarious," Jack responded.

I laughed and hit some more guys in the face. I faced the last one, a woman, and she said, "So you find beating people up fun, huh?"

"That's not exactly what I was implying, but if that's what you want to believe," I said, lunging. "Then so be it."
