"Do you know how scared shitless I am of this responsibility?" Skylar groaned.
Skylar dragged Jack along to meet up with me, Zephyr, Will and Brianna because apparently she wanted to talk. "I mean, on the bright side, people who end up in your position, like a beneficial weapon, do get a lot of praise... even in future times," I said.
"That's not the point," Skylar sighed. "I'm a teenage girl. It's weird suddenly becoming this... superpower that our side needs."
"Hey, that's a good thing. We all need you for some super giant plan that Cameron's going to come up with sooner or later," Jack said.
"That's too much responsibility! Why can't Iris or Zephyr do it?" Skylar asked.
"I mean, we could, but we can't weaken the monster as much as you can," I said to Skylar. "Oh, Jackson, do you have energy proof gloves. Normal ones? That can be, you know, fitted for everyone."
"Do you know how much time has passed since we began and how much time it'll take for everyone to get their gloves fitted?" Jack complained.
"The time right now..." Will took out his communicator. "It's 5:01. Only three hours passed."
"Are you serious?" Brianna gasped.
"Yeah..." Zephyr said, also looking at his communicator.
"Alright," Leanna's voice boomed from the communicator. "I've been hearing all this talk about Cameron coming up with all the plans, and, you know what? Screw that! I'm one of the people that encouraged him to get his head out of his ass! I'm his little sister!"
"Hey!" Cameron protested. "Oh, yes, I got the President!"
"I bet that, in the next moment, that damn President's gonna have some trick up his sleeve that causes him to escape from Cameron!" Leanna declared.
"Shit," Cameron said. "I'm stunned and falling out of the helicopter."
"Good thing you can't feel pain, big brother," Leanna sighed. "Who else wants to help me out?!"
"Me!" Alex cheered.
"Come on, I need to hear more of those cries of declaration!" Leanna shouted.
A lot of people started yelling into the communicator, and Leanna laughed. "That's right guys! I don't see why the fuck Cameron decided to split us up!"
"It was to cover all fields," Cameron groaned.
"Again, big brother, I'll back up your ass until you get unstunned," Leanna said. "You know what we need? Traps. Fucking traps, guys. If we're bringing back the age of the steel knuckles, we're bringing back the age of the fucking traps."
"Ooh..." I mumbled out of interest.
"Cameron makes a lot of new things. But that doesn't mean we can ditch the useful things from the old ages too," Leanna explained. "We need traps around the country to prevent the President from escaping in some fucking helicopter. I bet, right at this moment, he's getting a new helicopter."
"He is," Cameron chimed in. "I set a tracking device on him. He's showed as the white dot on our communicator."
"Alright, good. Jack, wanna make more of those energy weapons with normal energy? We have gloves for people with normal energy," Leanna said.
"I mean, I guess..." Jack said.
"Good. I know how hard it might seem for Skylar. She'll need backup. Good backup. If anyone wants to help out, meet in the northeast section of the government base," Leanna said. "And Jack, this is a requirement for you. You're coming over here. Plus we gotta reload the energy guns."
