One of the main reasons Anya had discovered that she was in a hallucination was when she heard Kaz say I'm freeing you. That I'm made it all make sense to her, she wasn't really here. Ever since she'd met Kaz, he'd always said he'd help her out with her freedom, that was it, he would simply help. Never had he claimed to save her, although he had, he wouldn't ever say that because he knew she wouldn't want to be indebted to someone else. It was what should've been all along, he wasn't doing her a favour, he was just trying to revert back to how it should've been all along.
Anya knew Kaz more than she knew herself, which was oddly ironic considering he'd hidden any remnant that he is a real person. There was small parts of him that she'd notice, parts that nobody else noticed. Seeing how he was in her hallucination was nice, it was different. But, a part of her longed for how he really was, how he managed to hide his care for the Crows in secret acts that he believed nobody noticed, but she noticed.
Looking at him, she found herself lost in his words as he went over their plan, appearing in a daze. Quickly snapping out of it, she nodded and followed the others actions, laying back into their positions as they waited for the woman to arrive. Anya was slumped against the door, her hair messily falling around her as she waited. It didn't take long until they heard the door slide open and footsteps return, scanning their eyes around the room, looking at the failed attempt.
One of them was missing, which she would come to realise was silently floating above her head, dropping down onto the ground behind her. The Wraith moved with her usual precision, only to be flung out of the room with a kick from the mysterious woman, as if she could sense her before she came towards her. At the sound of Inej fighting, the others got up and immediately scrambled to their feet, heading to the fight while Kaz went elsewhere.
Anya stepped out into the garden, standing beside Jesper and Tolya, focusing on the pipes that ran along the walls. Before any of them could even attempt a fight, the woman raised her hands and all their weapons were disfigured, useless. The girl chuckled as she watched Tolya move his hands, attempting to stop the woman's heart, only to be blocked. All of the knives that Inej directed seemed to stop mid air, turning around to be returned. The group grunted as they threw their bodies out of the way, narrowly avoiding the hits.
Focusing on the air around her, Anya summoned the warm heat to her hands and directed it towards the woman. Just before it could reach, she raised her hands and threw it right back at her, the girl having to slide across the floor just to avoid it. It only just missed her and she sent the woman an offensive look, shocked at how strong she was against them.
"I almost burnt my hair." Anya frowned as Jesper walked past her, giving her a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.
Just as Jesper was going to continue his attack, the woman threw some jewellery, wrapping around his neck to suffocate him. Immediately, Tolya rushed forwards, along with Inej, aiming hit after hit but nothing seemed to work. By his side, Anya tried to tug the jewels off his neck and she couldn't, it just wouldn't come off. Panic set in as she watched him struggle to breathe, this wouldn't be how he died, she wouldn't let this happen.
