CHAPTER 5: GIRLFRIEND

Clio's POV

Monday noong nasaksihan namin ni Maddie na may sumundo kay ma'am Vianca. The next day, nilibre ko naman si Maddie. Same spot. Alibi ko lang 'yon dahil gusto kong makita kung may manunundo ulit kay ma'am Vianca at hindi kami nabigo.

It was the same man. Naka-poloshirt, pants, belt, shoes. Gano'n ang porma. Mukha namang matino at may ibubuga sa buhay. Pero kinakabahan ako. What if mangyari yung kwento ni Maddie? Baka niloloko lang s'ya nun. Hindi naman ako pwedeng makialam dahil hindi ko na business 'yon.

I sighed.

Maagang nagdismiss ang professor sa last period kaya dumiretso agad ako sa gym para sa practice.

Sarado ang malaking pinto pero may kaunting awang kaya sumilip muna ako. I immediately hear the song Shape of You by Ed Sheeran. My eyes darted towards the stage. It was ma'am Vianca dancing with her sexy moves.

Marahan akong pumasok. Hindi ko naagaw ang atensyon n'ya dahil malakas ang music.

Whoa. Magaling talaga siyang sumayaw. No wonder nabaliw ako sa kanya that night. I shut my eyes when sudden flashback came across my mind.

Nakagat ko ang labi ko.

Tumikhim na ako para maagaw ang atensyon n'ya. Agad naman s'yang lumingon sa direksyon ko.

"Good afternoon, ma'am." Medyo nahihiyang bati ko.

"You're early." Sabi n'ya. Pumunta s'ya sa gilid ng stage kung saan may table na may mga gamit. Uminom s'ya sa tumbler n'ya.

"Maaga po naging dismissal namin." Sagot ko.

She's wearing a hanging blouse, jogging pants, and sneakers, tapos nakapony tail lang ang buhok n'ya pero.. ang ganda parin.

Tumango lang s'ya at hindi na nagsalita.

"Ayos lang, ma'am?" Nilapitan ko ang laptop na kumukontrol ng speaker dito sa gym.

"Yeah, go ahead." Tipid na sagot n'ya. Kasalukuyan s'yang nagpupunas ng pawis gamit ang tissue. May aircon naman dito sa gym pero magpapawis ka parin talaga kapag nagpagod ka.

Namili ako ng kanta. Peaches & Cream by Noah Davis. Pumwesto ako sa stage para sumayaw. Kumbaga warm up lang. Panigurado magiging madugo ang practice.

I'm feeling the song with every move. I can see ma'am Vianca in my peripheral vision. Nakasandal s'ya ngayon sa table at mataman akong pinanonood. Lihim akong napangisi.

I nearly stopped breathing when she joined me on the stage. Nasa side ko lang s'ya at nagsimula s'yang makisayaw. She know the choreo as well.
