CHAPTER 34: DIVULGED

Vianca's POV

"È la prima volta che visito le Filippine. Dove pensi che dovrei andare prima?" Rocco asked. (It's my first time visiting the Philippines. Where do you think should I go first?)

"Se stai cercando una bella vacanza nella natura, puoi provare Siargao." Nakangiting sagot ko. (If you're looking for a nice nature vacation, you can try Siargao.)

"Va bene." Rocco replied then proceed to search Palawan on the internet. Nakasilip naman si Hyacinth sa cellphone ni Rocco. (All right.)

Rocco is one of my colleagues and also a friend of mine. Gusto niyang sumabay sa amin ni Hyacinth pauwi ng Pilipinas para doon magbakasyon.

"Oh! Siargao è un posto bellissimo!" Hyacinth exclaimed after seeing Siargao on Rocco's screen. Her eyes glitters when she gazed up on me. "Can we join uncle Rocco?" (Wow! Siargao is beautiful place!)

Tumingin ako kay Rocco, "Penso che tuo zio Rocco preferisca stare da solo durante le vacanze. Lasciamogli del tempo da solo, quindi—" he cut me off. That was supposed to be a signal for Rocco to agree but he didn't. (I think your uncle Rocco prefers to be alone on his vacation. Let's give him alone time so—)

"No, va bene, Vianca. Voi due potete unirvi a me. Sarebbe divertente." Rocco stated with a sweet smile. (No, it's fine, Vianca. You two can join me. It would be fun.)

"Mommy, please.." Hyacinth made the puppy eyes and pouty lips look.

How can I turn this down? She knows my weakness.

"Okay, fine." Rocco and Hyacinth fist bumped.

Well, Hyacinth has been so nice. Na-disappoint ko rin siya no'ng hindi natuloy ang pagkikita nila ni Clio. Maybe this vacation is what we need. Para makabawi rin ako sa anak ko.

"Hello, Silas?" Ito ang una kong inasikaso pagdating namin ng Pilipinas; to contact Silas and tell him we're back.

"Vianca!" He greeted back. "Nakabalik na kayo?" Tanong niya.

"Yes, but I won't be free this week. Pwedeng next week na natin simulan ang plano?" I hopefully said.

Nakalaan na ang linggong 'to para sa bakasyon namin sa Siargao. I'm actually planning on inviting my sister, I'm not really comfortable kung tatlo lang kami nila Rocco.

"Sure, sure," agad na sagot ni Silas. "Actually, nasimulan ko na pag-contact ng mga supplier. Ayos na yung iba, pirma mo nalang hinihintay. And I'm also talking to someone right now, possible investor." I felt relived and glad to his response. Silas is really a big help to me.

"Promise, next week, aasikasuhin ko na." I said in apologetic tone. Nakakahiya na kay Silas. I'm being unprofessional dahil hindi ako sumusunod sa kasunduan.

"Ayos lang, malakas ka sa'kin." Pambabalewala nito saka tumawa.

"Thank you, Silas. I will contact you next week."

We bid our goodbyes then ended the call.

I'm currently unpacking our things while Hyacinth is still asleep. Kumuha pa kami ng mas maraming damit ni Hyacinth dahil mukhang matatagalan nga kami rito. I'm also planning to look for an apartment or condo para makalipat na kami ni Hyacinth. Hindi naman pwedeng dito nalang kami sa bahay ni Vera at Matt.

"Vera," I called my sister. Nakasalampak ito sa sofa sa living room. It's sunday, maybe it's her rest day or something.

"Hmm?" Lumingon siya. I sat on the sofa opposite to her direction.
