Imagine Kai trying to win you back after a fight

A tear slipped out of your eye as you rocked back and forth on the floor while hugging a pillow so tightly you expected it to blow up to your face any time now. You had been doing this for a while now, you couldn't do anything else even if you wanted to. You and Kai had a big fight, about everything and all, it was just straight up yelling and shouting to each other's faces, hurting with the most awful words you could only come up with.

And it ended up with Kai storming out of the house you shared, the home you shared, and leaving you on the floor where you now cried silently and carefully. There weren't many situations where you'd cry like this, so utterly sad it made your heart sink and shatter into pieces and your eyes aching because of all the tears coming out like they were waterfalls. The sadness was eating you from inside, making you feel sick and nauseous and you just wanted the feeling to go away but you didn't know how.

God, you didn't even know if Kai was coming back. You didn't know whether you'd have to sleep alone tonight or not, you didn't know if what you and Kai had was now all over and if you had to grow to survive on your own again. But in that complete uncertainty, you prayed for the best, you prayed for Kai to return and help you fix it and be the Kai you knew and loved.

Your prayers were answered, but as soon as he stepped inside the house, you felt unsure about him, too. You started to regret, and you felt like seeing him, being with him right now, it wasn't a good idea. So you looked down, avoiding the eye contact you knew he would try to create when he sank onto the floor next to you. He smelled like a chilly evening and the air was fresh and cool, meaning he had been strolling outside. 

"Y/N...", Kai started, his voice quiet but not enough to be unreachable for your ears. You shivered at the sound of silky voice so close to you, and turned your head away while blinking tears away from your eyes. His hand found place on your shoulder, and you stiffened, not sure if you liked him touching you now or if you preferred him keeping his distance. You did nothing to stop him from rubbing your shoulder though, something about it gave you the kind of comfort and warmth you needed even if his fingers were so cold you could feel it through the fabric of your shirt.

"C'mon, precious, you know I love you and I'm sorry for yelling at you. I shouldn't have shouted, or said the things I did but they didn't mean a thing. I... I didn't mean a thing", Kai started and began caressing your hair, causing you to flinch under his touch but you softened to the act and allowed him to softly do so, which sparked a smile on his lips. He was slowly getting to your better side, and finding his way to your heart and it relieved him to know that at least a part of you still listened to him and cared.

"It was a pretty big fight, I admit that, but baby girl, you know I love you more than anything, more than I have ever loved anything or anyone. You mean the most to me and if you leave me then I don't think I'll ever get over it. You're my girlfriend, Y/N, and I love you with all my heart and I need you to believe me when I say that I will never do anything to hurt you again", Kai continued, every word picking up a piece of your broken heart, and every sentence putting them together, eventually fixing you and making you feel better.

"Please sugar, work with me here", he chuckled and when you finally turned to look at him, he showed you a warm smile, more caring and genuine than you had ever seen on him. You broke into a smile too, and took a deep breath while looking down at your hands that you clasped together with Kai's.

"You should smile like that more often. It looks good on you", you chuckled and earn an equally fond sound from Kai who pulled you into a hug and kissed the top of your head.

"Anything for you, baby. Anything", he promised and held you until you fell asleep. As you did, you had a smile on your face because you didn't have to sleep alone, not like you had thought. You had Kai.

You would always have Kai.
