Imagine being homesick and texting Jeremy to make yourself feel better

You had left Mystic Falls for your own safety a week ago, and it was slowly eating you from inside. It was getting to you, weighing down your heart and you missed your friends so horribly you found yourself crying a bit too often in your own opinion. 

Although you loved all of your friends from the small town, one of them was above others - Jeremy Gilbert. Little Gilbert. Pocahontas. Van Helsing. Jer. Your crush, your close friend, your first kiss. You missed him dearly, there was no denying, and you had dreamed of being in a relationship with him for a long while but when you would have finally had the opportunity, you had to leave Mystic Falls.

And so your dream of being together with Jeremy Gilbert stayed as a dream.

Being homesick was destroying you and you didn't find other options to ease it, than texting the one person you wanted, craved, needed and loved the most. 

You : hey jer how are you

Jeremy : jfc y/n it's 2 am why are u awake

Jeremy : everything ok ?

You : yeah yeah i just can't sleep

You : and i miss mystic falls and my friends and you

Jeremy : oh ok well to answer your question i'm fine i guess

You : can't sleep either ?

You : how is mf doing without me haha

Jeremy : it's not the same tbh we all miss you and i'm still not used to living without you 

Jeremy : it's really hard to learn how to accept the fact that i can only talk to you through the phone or on skype now i miss you baby girl

You : aw you're adorable jeremy but yeah i miss you too, so so much

Jeremy : i miss your laugh and i miss your stupid jokes and i just really miss all of you sigh life is so much more awful without you next to me 

Jeremy : no one laughs at my jokes now that you're gone haha i'm just a sad boy bullied by damon

You sent at least a hundred messages to Jeremy, but got no replies. At four in the morning, your doorbell rang and while rubbing your eyes you opened the front door, only to see Jeremy, in his leather jacket and his hair a mess, his arms open wide, ready to hug you.

"Good morning", he said and you giggled while jumping to his arms and hanging from his neck. You embraced tightly, and he placed a kiss on your temple.

"C'mon, Damon is sitting in the car and he won't be happy if we make him wait for too long", Jeremy said, and walked you to the Damon's car. You had no clue how he managed to make the vampire come to get you, but perhaps they both missed you.

Damon drove you and Jeremy to Mystic Falls, and as you entered the town, he smirked at you.

"Welcome back, hope you know this is a big mistake. But you know, love you, and all that crap. Have fun, kids, use protection", Damon said and dropped you at Jeremy's place. Elena was with the Salvatores, and so you and Jer had the house to yourselves.

And it was wonderful.
